Go
Our closing song for our final school Mass was “Go Make a Differ-ence.” The students love the energy of this song and have taken the words to heart. Go is used in the Bible 1,542 times. This sim-ple two letter word has an amazing impact on our world and is the mission we were given by Jesus. We are called to go forth and share the Gospel, which is translated Good News. At Chilton Area Catholic School we are blessed with opportunities to practice going out and sharing our faith. It can be scary to go forth and tell others about our beliefs in our world. This year, our Destination Imagination team earned their way to Global competition. This team represented not only our school, but our faith with their actions. While celebrating their 22nd place victory after the awards ceremony, they encountered a homeless person. Having pizza left from their celebration, they offered what they had to that homeless person. We talk about the Corporal Works of Mercy in class and these students lived those Works per-fectly in their encounter. For that homeless person they were the face of Christ. They made a difference to that person and it also made a difference for them. When our students go on field trips they wear their CACS apparel and represent not only our school, but our faith. I have received numerous emails from places where our students attended field trips. They complement our students and staff for being well man-nered and respectful. They are respectful, loving, generous and considerate of others. Our students also GO and make a differ-ence once a month visiting the residents at Century Ridge. The residents look forward to their visits. Sometimes they pray with them if they request prayers. Pope Francis writes, “To be Holy does not require being a bishop, a priest or a religious. We are frequently tempted to think that holi-ness is only for those who can withdraw from ordinary affairs to spend much time in prayer. That is not the case. We are all called to be holy by living our lives with love and by bearing witness in everything we do, wherever we find ourselves” (Gaudete et Exsul-tate: On the Call to Holiness in Today’s World). This is lived every day at CACS. Walking through the halls, visiting the lunchroom or playground, one would witness holiness. In the teachers and in the students. Our students are being taught to go make a differ-ence, just like their closing song. God bless, Mrs. Liz Rollmann CACS Principal ’

RELIGIOUS ED NEWS JESUS & COMPANY
WE REALLY NEED TO pay more attention to several of our financial promises. Due to the quiet month we just experienced in the Upper Room three of our goals were not reached. The first is no problem - that’s our Food for Us bucket. For a week or two we had angels all around us dropping all sorts of candies on us. So there is no need for help with that one for a while. The second is our Food for Them bucket. There has been no “noise” in that one for quite a while and we don’t want to fall down on our pledge and promise to feed the hungry. We hope that now that school is completed and the various programs have ended we will be able to see more happy faces in the Room as hope-fully many of you will decide to spend a little bit of time with us on Wednesday nights. We hope you will do what you can to save some time for us on your schedules. With any luck and dedication maybe we will again start to hear the “clatter of coins” in those waiting buckets. NOW WE REACH the third container and this is our Travel Chest for kids. This is a challenge that we took on in January. It’s our $19 a month effort to keep children alive. If you have ever seen their TV ads they tell us that even with their efforts 1 of 5 children will die of cancer. The goal at St. Jude’s is to re-duce those odds and our goal is to help and honor our promise of $19 each month. That amount goes to them automatically each month and even if we don’t keep putting into that Treasurer Chest we will keep giving to that cause until our last nickel is gone! How about this we contribute to research and that re-search contributes to saving lives. How good is that? AND THEN IF WE do the math we find out it really isn’t that diffi-cult to fund the program. If 5 of us would put in $1.00 each week for 4 weeks the month’s gift to kids would be covered. And hopefully it won’t be the same 5 people each month. We can share the load and share the good feelings and joy by being involved. How much is it worth to you to see a child get a chance at life? WE ALSO WANT TO touch on those 3 major day trips we have been doing for a few year’s now: WED., July 11 - Our day at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. This is our time together to pray for each other and with each other; and a chance for us to pray for our friends or family members and all who are in need of prayer. We also have the time to walk through the outdoor setting doing our own version of the Stations of the Cross. This is a great day spent with Je-sus, Mary and friends. Wed., July 25 - Our one day of daring each other to come along on this ride. Is it getting old? Is is getting boring? Will we be able to fill the bus? Oh well, you can always sleep on the way home! It’s called Great America remember? SAT., Oct. 6 - Our big chance to join with about 3,000 other kids to sing, play, pray and praise Jesus all day long and take part in the beautiful Mass at the end of our day together. And the speakers during the day keep that fire alive in us as well as that BIG fire on the hill. You gotta do this one at least once - and who knows, it may “fire you up” to do it again next year! JESUS - teach me how to show my love for you to others.

Children: Whom could you invite to share a happy time with your family?
TOTUS TUUS
All youth grades 1-12 are invited by the Tri-Parish Faith Communities in Sherwood at the St. John Sacred Heart school for a week long summer camp, June 17-22, called Totus Tuus-Totally Yours. Cost is $35 for the whole week and $15 for the teen youth evening session. For more infor-
mation call Candace Gehl 920-470-1239 or Jacklyn Behnke.
SUMMER LIFE CAMP Do your teens want to change the world? Do they want to protect the most vulnerable? Do they want to know how to articulate their beliefs? Then Life Camp is for them. Life Camp is the summer youth camp of Wisconsin Right to Life. Camp takes place August 5-10 at Green Lake Confer-ence Center in Green Lake, Wisconsin. This camp is open to ages 13-19. As part of the camp, campers will spend a day at the capitol in Madison where they will learn about the legislative process, first-hand from lawmakers and their staff who work to protect life on a daily basis. They will also learn about their role in the process. Register before July 1st and save $50 on registration. For more information go

June 22-29, 2018
“[Religious] freedom remains one of America’s most pre-cious possessions. And, as my brothers, the United States Bishops, have reminded us, all are called to be vigi-lant, precisely as good citizens, to preserve and defend that freedom from everything that would threaten or com-promise it.” --Pope Francis People of faith are committed to serving others in God’s love in healthcare, child welfare, migration and refugee resettlement, education, and more. Religious freedom protests the space in which we can continue to serve. Religious Freedom Week begins June22, the Feast of Sts. Thomas More & John Fisher. Join Catholics across the country to pray and act for the freedom to serve faith-fully and with integrity. We are Catholics. We are Americans. We are proud to
be both, grateful for the gift of faith which is ours as Chris-tian disciples, and grateful for the gift of liberty which is
ours as American citizens.
Spiritual Adoption Campaign “Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much, I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”NNGood Shep-herd’s Spiritual Adoption has entered into its 4th month. Our total of 196 spiritually adopted children now have brains that are maturing; taste buds that are tasting and hair forming on their heads, eyebrows and eyelashes. Facial expressions similar to their parents can be seen at this time. Our babies are capable of having dreams. REM’s (Rapid Eye Movements-a sign of dreaming) have been recorded during this month. To read more and keep updated on your baby’s monthly development view the posters at the church entrances. Thank you for your continued prayers. Social Concerns Committee
