Good Evening
Or better yet, a GREAT EVENING to you.
I am honored to serve as your Honorary Chair for this festive evening to benefit the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council.
From 1999 to 2006, I had the great opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of this organization. It was a great learning experience. I became aware of the real need for senior services that exist in our community and the profoundly good job that our Executive Director, Carol Reagan, and her staff and volunteers are doing. I am so proud of them and I hope you recognize the positive impact they make on our community.
I have been involved with fund-raising for 57 years. I have come to realize that selfishness is a natural instinct and that generosity is an unnatural behavior that has to be learned and reinforced. But we all know that the world is a far better place where generosity exists.
Most of us live in a wonderful world of abundance, not scarcity. So I urge you to get in contact with the “angels of your persona” and be as generous as you can. Share the fullness of your lives with others and help keep this wonderful organization available and vital.
Have fun and “bid-it-up.”

Welcome Fellow 007 Agents!
Your mission this evening … should you choose to accept it … is to make the 11th Annual Caring Hearts Gala, “Bikinis, Martinis & Lamborghinis – 007 Heaven”, our most successful Gala to date. Get ready to bid on silent auction items, prepare your bidding paddles (and arms) for the live auction, and put your dancing shoes on … we’re about to have some spy-themed fun!
Chairing this Gala has been a rich and rewarding experience during which I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and efforts during the year to plan and manage 007 Heaven. Special recognition to the following for their contributions and dedication to the Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council (PTSCC):
All the members of our Gala Committee, PTSCC staff, and volunteers for their countless hours devoted to bringing
“Bikinis, Martinis & Lamborghini’s – 007 Heaven” to life.
Carol Reagan, Executive Director, for her vision, support,
and unlimited patience, spirit, and energy.
Our Board of Directors for their time, generosity, and
commitment.
Rem Stokes, our Honorary Chair, for his dedication and
generosity to PTSCC.
Ron Bernardi, Auctioneer, for his enthusiasm and support of
our fundraising efforts.
Gala Sponsors, for their trust and support in this wonderful
organization.
All the individuals and businesses for their continued
generosity and contributions.
Tonight promises to be a wonderful evening! Thank you for opening your hearts and supporting PTSCC. Your donations make possible our not-so-secret mission: to continue to provide outstanding programs and services for our older adults and theirfamilies in the Palatine Township communities.
Again, thank you for your generous support. Enjoy your evening of 007 Heaven!

Dear Guests:
Welcome, and thank you for supporting our Eleventh Annual Caring Hearts Gala. The past year has been a challenging one, particularly raising funds in these economic times. This year has also been very rewarding in many ways. In addition to our other activities, we continue to provide noon dining and home delivered meal programs, which are even more of a necessity than ever. .We now have a presence on Facebook. Our Executive Director Carol Reagan continues to be a very active Chair-Elect of the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC). She, along with members of the NISC Executive Committee, met with Federal Administration on Aging Assistant Secretary Kathy Greenlee in Washington, D.C. in January. This is the first time in NISC’s 40 year history that the head of the Administration on Aging met with the NISC Executive Committee to discuss national funding for senior centers.
We could not accomplish all that we do without our corporate and community support, our ongoing funders, center members, those who have donated to our endowment, our many volunteers, including our dedicated Board of Directors, and of course, our extremely dedicated and very hard working staff.
Thank you all for your showing how much you care by being here tonight. .Have a wonderful evening!
Laurie Stock, ChairBoard of Directors

Our Mission. . .is to provide programs and services which support the independence and well-being of older adults and promote their participation in the community.
Who Are We?The Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council operates the Palatine Township Senior Center, the first accredited senior center in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, and only one of six in the State of Illinois. Only two percent of the approximately 11,000 senior centers in the United States is accredited.
For over 35 years, the Council has provided life long learning, health, wellness, social services, nutrition and recreation opportunities for adults 50 and older. An independent, private, not-for-profit corporation, PTSCC is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors.
