Matthew 5:13-16 (NLT)

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it useful again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Preserve goodness and holiness wherever you are.

Preserve unity and harmony.

Be light also. Each of us should be an exemplary model. 28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers25Work Ethic

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers30Work EthicWhen someone calls in looking for an office colleague who is currently busy, instead of saying, He is busy, it is better to say, Im sorry but he is not available at the moment. We will let him know that you called.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers31Work EthicNow in case someone came in looking for a co-worker who9 went to the restroom, instead of saying, Shes in the comfort room, a better way of handling it is by saying, She stepped out of her desk for a while. She will be back soon. You may wait for he in the reception area and I will tell her that you have arrived.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers32Work EthicThere are instances when we are asked about a certain matter and we do not have a ready answer. Instead of saying, I dont know, a professional will say, Ill find out and get back to you as soon as possible.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers33Work EthicWhen you are left out in the communication loop and you think that your work requires that you are informed about the issue, instead of saying, You did not tell me, which sounds a bit accusatory, it is better to say, Can we talk about something that I missed?

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers34Work EthicOf course, saying, Thank you, Please, and Im sorry are common courtesies that will always come in handy at the right time and the right situation.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers36Work EthicEphesians 6:5-8 (GNB)Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling; and do it with a sincere heart, as though you were serving Christ. Do this not only when they are watching you, because you want to gain their approval; but with all your heart do what God wants, as slaves of Christ. Do your work as slaves cheerfully, as though you served the Lord, and not merely human beings. Remember that the Lord will reward each of us, whether slave or free, for the good work we do.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers37Work EthicObey your superiors with respect.

Obey your superiors with a sincere heart.

Obey your superiors with integrity.

Obey your superiors cheerfully.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers39Work EthicGet started

Use tools or gadgets to help you track or record your use of time. Allocate time for the rocks first before the pebbles.Refuse offers and invitations that simply fill-up your calendar but do not move you closer to your life purpose or your life goals.Decide and determine what your priorities.28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers40Work Ethic

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers41Work EthicDONT JUST DO IT FOR THE MONEY

Money will never be enough

Money cannot love you back

Money will never satisfy you

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers42Work EthicAlways arrive a few minutes early for work and then stay at least a few minutes late.

Do not allow personal issues or other relationship at your job to take time or focus away from your work.

Never complain about your pay because you agreed to work for that amount. So be grateful. will never be enough.

Ask your boss from time to time if there is anything you can do to improve your performance.

Work with your head, not with your hands.

Dont continually badger your boss with requests for promotions or raises. Let your work do the talking.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers43Work EthicITS A JOKE!

Jest in moderation. Ikaw nga sa boxing, hindi pwedeng below the belt.

Observe common courtesies. When you crack a joke, make sure that its not about other peoples misfortunes and disabilities.

Keep your mouth shut if you are not sure of what to say.

Entertain to encourage and not to put people down.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers44Work EthicLEARN TO L-A-F

Do your work with LOVE. Napapansin at halata kapag mahal natin ang trabaho natin at ang ating mga katrabaho at mga taong ating pinaglilingkuran. Our work should be marked and made distinct with LOVE.

Matuto tayong mag-ACCEPT sa pagkakaiba at kahusayan ng bawat isa. Acceptance is key for trust and teamwork to really flourish in our workplaces.

FORGIVE. Matutuong magpatawaran dahil wala naming perpekto sa atin. Kahit na napakahusay mo, sigurado ano na mayroon ka pa ring mga kahinaan. So, learn to forgive.

28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers45

Be faithful to the work and the opportunity that God has entrusted to you today.

Remember, you cant please everybody, but it is not your job to please everyone. You are only accountable to an audience of One --- and that is God. .477/2/2015Thank you28/05/2015Mr. MP Garcia, Resource Speaker, Good Habits & Work Ethic for Public School Teachers48487/2/2015
