Deacons of New Light Beulah
Baptist Church
Deaconesses of New Light Beulah
Baptist Church
Good morning, God.
You have ushered in another day,
Untouched and freshly new.
So here I come to ask you, Lord,
If you would renew me,
And to forgive the many errors
I made of yesterdays.
And let me try, dear God,
To walk closely in your way,
For Father, I am well aware
I cannot make this journey on my own.
So please, dear Lord, take my hand,
And hold it tight,
For I won’t be walking alone.
In Jesus’ name, Amen…
We, the family of Deaconess Wilhelmenia T. Castor, appreciate
the many acts of kindness shown during the passing of our loved
one. May God bless each of you in all the days to come. Special
thanks are extended to the entire Castor Family,
even after the passing of their father, Deacon John Castor,
for the love and support during Mom’s time of illness.
Your heartfelt kindness will never be forgotten.

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 (KJV)
Deaconess Wilhelmenia Tucker Castor was born September 27, 1933
in Hopkins, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late William
and Georgia Ann Tucker. She answered the Lord’s call to come Home
on July 2, 2017 at the PruittHealth Nursing One facility.
She was a faithful, active member of New Light Beulah Baptist Church
until her health declined, serving for more than 50 years. During that
time, Sister Castor served as a Deaconess, an Usher, as a past president
of the Church Aide, on the Daughters of Mission for 19 years, sang on
the Jubilee Choir, was a Sunday School worker, worked with the Baptist
Training Union, the Nursing Home Ministry and the Meals-on-Wheels
programs.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Mr. Jesper Gilmore, Sr. and
Deacon John Castor, Jr., both of whom she loved dearly and was very
devoted.
Wilhelmenia’s mission in life was to serve others; to love the Lord; to
always do right in life; and to live by the things her mother taught her.
She leaves in the hands of the Lord, her family: a daughter, Doris (Ken)
McAfee of Hilton Head, South Carolina; her sons, Reverend Jesper
Gilmore, Jr. and Rorlanda Gilmore, both of Columbia, South Carolina;
11 stepchildren of the Castor family; her sister, Theresa Webber; 10
grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives
and dear friends.
Along with her parents, those gone before Wilhelmenia include three
children: Minnie Lee Tucker, Nathaniel Gilmore and Larry Douglas
Tucker.
Dear Family and Friends,
I want you to know that I have moved. I received a call from God, who informed
me that I could move in immediately. You know that I have been sending
my timber and only the chief carpenter, Jesus Christ could do. Some were a little broad, or not long enough.
Well, my new home is finished and it is such a beautiful sight to
behold! It is located in an exclusive estate area and it sits behind
beautiful pearly gates just off a serene celestial shore. Of course
the streets are paved with gold and every day is Sunday here, I have been told. I've lived many places
before my new home was prepared, and none of the others compare.
There is peace, joy, and happiness here with no pain to bear, no strife or discontent. There is only sweet
serenity everywhere. I could go on and on about my new home,
but I have to get fitted for my wings. My New Address Is:
1000 Anointed Ones Way Kingstown, Heaven
All my love, Wilhelmenia
P. S. I don't have a phone yet; just call God at 1-800-GODS-WAY. If you can’t remember,
the number, just look in the Good Book. He’s listed on every page.
