after the Feast. Ordained to the rankofPreaching Elder, Mr. Kelly and his wife, the former Norva Lee Pyle, also a grad-w t e of Ambassador, are now busilyserving this growing two-church area.

I t was especially heart-warming toall the members of the HeadquartersChurch, to see the ordination of Mr.Charles Hunting to the rank of LocalElder in the Pasadena Church. Mr.Hunting, though an older man, havingbeen called of God after years in theservice and subsequently in private busi-ness, is now a Senior at Ambassador, and Student Body President. His officeas an Elder in Gods Church will enablehim to serve much more effectively inthe frequent counseling he must do, andin praying for the sick in the SouthernCalifornia area.

One member wrote, I a m writ ingto let you know that I really enjoyedthe Feast of Tabernacles. I was sothrilled. I just cant find words to ex-press the enjoyment I did receive byattending the Feast. This was my firstyear to attend. I enjoyed all the service. The singing was beautiful. T he choralejust cant be beat. I have never heardsuch beautiful music in my life. T h eordination of the young ministers wasa great thrill . . . the order and quiet-ness of such a large crowd, the goodbehavior of the children, the smilingfzces and pleasant associations with

Gods people, the delicious food, withthe beautiful grounds on which theTabernacle is located drew me closerto God and gave me a glimpse of thesoon-coming Kingdom of God. AfterLritig iri the riiidx o f seven rhousandpeople with the same mind, same trialsand tests, it gave me a broader visionand I dont feel in a little world alonewith God and with all the trials andtests to bear .

This heart-warming letter is only oneof many dozens we have received fromthose attending for the first time. Ifthere could be ample space, I knoweach letter would be equally inspiringto all of you-seeing the real ble.rsingsGod pours out upon us and the hap-piness they bring.

    Th e F eas t i n En g l andMr. Armstrong was able to remain at

the big tabernacle near Big Sandy,Texas for only four days. Then, in themiddle of the Feast, he had to fly fromDlllas to N ew York, and on to London,so he could be with those meeting onoiir o wn Amhassador campus in Eng-Imd. Mr. Armstrong brought sermonsbefore the congregation assembled in

England for the last two days of theFeast, and on the eighth day, picturingthe Great White Throne Judgment.

Wi t h m any of Gods ministers, in-cluding several families and studentsfrom Ambassador College in Pasadena, and with the brethren from Bri tain andcontinental Europe, the atmosphere inEngland was one of a warm , family-knitgroup.

Mr. Roderick Meredith, h a v i n g com-pleted three successful evangelistic cam-paigns in England, resulting i n the rais-ing up of three new churches, deliv-ered inspiring messages on themeaniTLgof the Feast, the picturingof the King-dom of God. Sermons were broughtbyMr. Raymond McN air, who is an evan-gelist in Gods Church, and has beenin charge of the work in England forabout two years; by Dr. Benjamin Rea,former head of the Spanish D epartmentof Ambassador College in the UnitedStates, who is now principalof the col-lege in England; by Mr. Ernest Martin, who will bc tcachingin the college; andMr. George Meeker, who has been as-sisting in the churches and office inEngland for many months.

W ith nearly 25 people in at tendancetin our own grounds, it was truly an in-spiring and uplifting Feast of Taber-nacles.

    La rge Num be r M ee t i n Af r i caMr. J. E. Mwambula, our representa-

tive in Northern Rhodesia, Africa, re-ported that the number at tending thefirst Holy Day of the Feast was 250.However, from a color slide Mr. Mw am-bula sent to us while we were at theFeast, we are almost certain Mr. Mwam-bula must have counted only theadult heads of household, for thereappeared to be fully more than 600or 700 people in the picture Mr.Mwambula said the number increasedunti l there were 475 at tending themeetings during the m iddleof the Feast.

During the Feast there, the DistrictCommissioner wanted Mr. Mwambulato halt the meetings because the Churchhad not been registered at that par -ticular town of Kitw e. Mr. Mwam bula, however, showed him the letter forregistering the Church at Lusaka, thecapital of Northern Rhodesia, and hewas allowed to continue with the meet-ings-showing how God does intervenefor H is people

Mr. Mwambula has been workingdiligently in translating much of theliterature, and is going to send someof his translations to be reprinted inthis country very soon. H e said, People

are very riiuch pleased to hear that theywill receive books in their own lan-guages.

Mr. Ortiguero reports: A full eight-day festival was observed from October6 to 13. Four provinces were repre-sented. After the l j th,many began going home, while Mr.Descargar and I were left in Kiara tokeep the Sabbath. Thank you for yourprayers and we felt the presence ofGod and that there was a very happyand joyous occasion.

English colleges may have large anornate buildings, but they are bare andra b inside-just the plainest of fur nture, usually two to six hundred yearold-no color. Is This YOUR Weak Point? Here i s a timely warning from one o f our ministers in Australia.

OME few of you bre thre n feel youare not a vital part of this GreatS Work because you are not a min-

ister or used directly in some way inGods Church. You let feelings of dis-couragement and despondency comeover you without any apparent reason.

Why?Could it be that the Adversary-

Satan- nows DISCOURAGEMENTand DESPONDENCY are the easiestway he has of keeping you from doingyour part?

Satan is desperately tfying to geteach one of you to NEGLECT the gift ofGods Holy Spirit which you have re-ceived ( I Tim. 4 :14) . If he can SUC-ceed, you will forever become unprofit-able, unqualified to enter the Kingdom

of God (John 15:6 .Satan Against Gods Kingdom

The one thing Satan hates abovedlelse is for the Kingdom of God to beestablished on this earth. Naturally Be-cause Satan and his demons are goingto be stripped of their authority whenthis great event occurs (Rev. 20:3).They crave authority.

N o wonder they are striving day andnight to prevent your conversion intothe Kingdom at Christs return to thisearth ( I Pet. 5: 8) . W e are warnednot to give place to the devil. YOU

must recognize the devicesof Satan andresist them (James 4 : 7 . Few under-stand the one major deviceused by thedevil against Gods peop le today Satanis trying to m a k e you fee2 that thepower imparted to each of you throughthe Holy Spirit of God is not impor-tant or vital Thr ough this clever Sa-tanic device, some of you are not stir-ring up the Holy Spirit of God whichHe has so graciously given you. I t ist i m e you wake up t o this danger

    C H U R C H to PreachGospel of K ingdom

When this Church was built, Christgave to it the great commission ofpreaching the Gospel to the wholeworld, a work which cannot possiblybe fulfilled without the Holy Spirit ofGod

Why is i t that no other Church onthe face of this earth preaches the TrueGospel of the Kingdom of God? Theymay understand and preach some frag-ments of Truth, Yet, not one of thempreaches Christs message. The Churchof God is the One Body which Satanis unable to control and prevent from

    by Ge rald Waterhouse

preaching this vital message because itis led by and governed byCHRIST

THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Conse-quently, he tries to render useless thehuman instruments through which theHoly Spirit is working. And, hereinlies the danger to each one in GodsChurch. Your only hope is that you re-main yielded to God so He can con-tinually keep you filled with His HolySpirit

WITH THIS SAME POWER, we cancomplete the work Go d has g iven us LOdo

WITHOUT T, we will utterly failUnless every membe rof the Body func-tions properly, the Body is not goingto be as effective as it ought to be inexecuting Christs commission.

    Satan Introduces Fifth Column

Satan knew he could not stop thespreading of the Gospel by attackingthe ministers and lay members whowere filled with Gods Holy Sflirit-those who were determined above allelse to carry out the commission committed to them As a result, he had totry another maneuver by which hewould attempt to destroy Gods trueChurch.

    Satan introduced a fifth-column move-ment H e stealthily worked in false

brethren or turned different ones in thechurch against the ministers GODHADPLACED IN OFFICE OVER THEM. Satanin all of his craftiness knew that theleaders could do little if they didnthave the Churchs support-just like afront line of the army without anysupply lines to back it up can do little.Through th is method ,Satan set out tobreak down the very power of thechurch. And, brethren, h e is still work-in g in the same manlzer, trying to getsome of YOU to find fault and accusethe ministers, or else get you to letdown, become lethargic and not doYOUR PART in supporting this veryW o rk of God W e need to recognizejust whom we are following wheneverwe fall into one or the other of theseconditions.

Some people, when they get bitteragainst the ones God is really using toperform His Work, begin to S p d kpresumptuously about them and, yet, appear sincere to those not growingspiritually I1 Pet. 2:10-15). Thisshould not sound strange to us. Eventhe Apostle John was spoken againstby a self-styled and self-appointed

teacher who should have worked o n thesupply line instead of the firing linein the church (111 John 9-10). Emphat-ically, Satan has found that he canwork much more effectively by tearingdown the structure of the Church, bypulling away certain ones who areneeded on the supply line t o supportthis great work of God. These indi-viduals become disgruntled if they can-not be the mouth to speak Godsmessage. They are so filled with vanitythey are unwilling to be the hands andfeet of Christs body. Satan knows tha tif he can disconnect a n individualmember from the Head of this Church-Jesus Christ-that perso n will dryw p spiritually nrzd burnin the lake offire (Col. 2 : 1 9 ). This Satanic maneuver,

when effected, renders useless anotherof the vitally needed members of theBody of Christ-a me mbe r needed notonly in this time when laborers are sofew (Eph. 4:15-16), but a member ofthe Kingdom of God who could havcinherited eternal life.

You Need Chr is tYou need to bring every thought

into captivity to Jesus Christ I1 Co-rinthians 10:5) and let Him instructyou through those whom He has called.Yo u need the same Holy Spirit work-ing through your mindthat is workingthrough the minds of those God hasplaced over you for your spiritualgrowth and perfection (Eph.4 : 11 - 1 2 .If you zealously do the part God hascalled you to perform-instead of seek-ing to do anothers job-you can saywith all confidence, Christ in me ismy hope of glory The question is, areyou living your old lifc again, with itsva ni ty -o r is Christ living in you, doingHis work through you as a member ofChrists Body? Remember, we are apart of the Body of Christ now, only ifwe as a group do what Christ did inHis earthly body
