Titles

Titles have been shown on a black background in white writing in order to match the colour scheme which runs throughout the trailer. The actors names have been placed to the side, next to the actor. In these shots, there is no sound dialogue and the shots are played in slow motion in order to show off the actors faces more and highlight the climax of the trailer.

Exposition

The exposition in this film starts with an office setting, showing different people walking around the building. There is a voiceover of two people talking, as the shots progress we then see two main characters talking in whispered voices in the same office setting.

ComplicationThe complication arises when the male character says “if I don’t sign it, they fire me” and the sentence is followed by a fade to black screen and a low bang noise. There is then a silent scene with not much talking until a man says “good evening” and once again it is followed by a bang and fades to the black background of the production company. The trailers atmosphere is now more tense as it leads into the rising action.

Rising ActionThe rising action appears to be when the media office decides to go against the government, this is shown through the shots of characters arguing and raising their voices. In one scene one character is heard repeating “Who? Who, who are these people? Sir, who are the people?” which adds to the tension. Lots of close ups are also used to show the characters expressions as they get more and more worried.

ClimaxThe main character says “ok fellas here we go, we might as well go down swinging” and then there is a shift in music as there is suddenly a more fast paced beat as the two rivals start to plot against each other. There is a countdown to air a broadcast and this is where the true climax lies as tension is built up from the slow seconds “5…4…3…2…” as the beat stops on the last count, this is where the music stopsand a character says the nameof the film “Good night and, good luck.”
