Change

Probably the hardest thing to do, why change if it’s working fine the way it is? But is it working fine? Change is so important for so many reasons. Imagine if Bill Gates decided to keep Windows 95 the same way it was and didn’t change anything? If Mark Zuckerberg (the creator of Facebook) kept the structure the way he originally designed it? Somemes change is a sign of growth. I’m quite sure you don’t dress the same as you did when you was 10 years old or even think in the same way or have the same objecves and goals. Somemes you change without knowing it, somemes something dramac happens to you and you force yourself to change somemes you’re so disgusted by your current situa-on that you have to change. But one thing is sure things will change,Like Akala said roll with it or get rolled over.

“It’s been a long me coming, but I know, a change is gonna come” - Sam Cooke

FEEDBACK

feedbackIn last month’s edion of GVZ Mag, The Chief Editor of told us, ‘Do you!!!’. Self expression was encouraged, with insight into the plans of young, upcoming entre-preneurs who were ‘doing them’. The down-to-earth format showed us how similar these movated individuals are to you and me. We also interviewed one of London’s most successful comedians, ‘Kodjo’, who is proof that expressing your-self not only enhances the lives of others, but can also bring us wealth. On that p, success within the money market was also broken down to us. GVZ showed us how to work ‘Ebay’ to our advantage and how to control our money. Wealth expert Marcus De Maria explained why clarify-ing our financial vision is so important, and for those wishing to increase their fi-nances either by changing careers or gain-ing employment, there were helpful ps on success at job interviews. Spirituality was not forgoen; we were reminded to worship our heavenly father in all of our circumstances, and this includes mes of financial struggle. GVZ gave us a small insight into how we get where we want to be!! And this month’s edion will give even more insight. Words by Jade Richards

Hi Guys,Did you read the last part, which discussed the importance of knowing ‘what’ you want in clear detail. and then ‘why’ you want it? Sounded simple, right? But the truth is, most people never take the me to do that simple exercise.

Did you imagine yourself in a condo overlook-ing the sea? It really can be possible for you. It really is very, very do-able! But...

At this stage you may have some quesons go-ing round your head.

So, as promised, here are the most highly de-manded quesons that virtually everyone asks before they begin trading successfully in the stock market.

Wealth Expert Marcus de Maria

WEALTH

Page 11: Good Vibe Zone Jan/Feb 10

Jan/Feb 10 | gvzmag.com

I am sure you have asked some of these so far. Okay here they are.

Q1. Marcus, what is the stock market? The stock market is the name of the place where company stocks are traded.

Think of it as an enormous cash vault, in which resides a large proporon of the world’s wealth. Some of it is desned to be yours - it is just waing to be placed in your trading account, if you are prepared to learn!

So exactly how do we get in? Normally a vault is kept secure by a big lock with a combinaon. If you know the combinaon, you can gain access.

In the stock market, the opposite is true. In the stock market, there are countless combinaons you can choose from. As a beginner, which one do you choose?

Q2. What about the risks?Serious entrepreneurs will be glad to know that it is not a get-rich quick scheme. A student of ours once said of our teaching, “it is like passing the driving test for investors”. Driving is a great metaphor for invesng. As a beginner, you could get into a car and start driving. But you need proper instrucon to avoid making mistakes and crashing.

It’s awkward at first, but aer a few lessons, a test and some pracce, you are looking at faster and beer cars to drive. In the same way, once you learn to invest, you can get from where you are now financially to where you and your family want to go.

Q3. Can a beginner like me make money?Beginners can make money in the stock market - and our graduates very oen do so. In fact, there are even four basic reasons why beginners with just a computer and internet access have more chances of succeeding than the ‘professionals’. Professionals are restricted in an industry that is highly regulated because they are dealing with large sums of other people’s money. We on the other hand can do what we want because we are dealing with our own money.

Most professionals are not allowed to make money when the market goes down or even sideways, whereas we can. Most professionals are not allowed to buy into a company and sell within a short period of me, whereas we can. Most of them are restricted to the companies they are allowed to invest in, whereas we are not restricted. Finally, most professionals are not allowed to insure or hedge themselves in case the market goes in the wrong direcon. This is like driving without insurance. Again, we can do all of these things.

You absolutely MUST consider the stock market as an addional stream of income. All it takes is 10-20 hours to learn my simple and fun strategy, then 2 hours a week to make it work, and in just a few months from now you could be enjoying 3% -6% GROWTH PER MONTH!

You will require focus, dedicaon, discipline and me to get it right but so do most good things. The point is, start today and in a relavely short period of me you will be on the road towards financial freedom.

Once started, you will soon discover that using this smart invesng strategy will also improve your performance in other areas of your life. Your mind and thought paerns will become faster and sharper, and you will start to noce opportunies and possibilies in other areas of life like never before. As your investments grow, so will your confidence and self esteem.

Does that all sound good?

Well that’s just the p of the trading iceberg. More next me so when the next one arrives open quickly and read it. Why? I am going to be sharing something very special with you.

It’ll help you reach your goal of financial independence I promise.

Go to this page right away for more free informaon that can help you be financially independent in the shortest space of me.

If you can’t make the evenings in London you will see when you press the link above that we can send you a DVD of the evening. We do require a small admin fee to cover costs and admin charges, but we offer something extraordinary as part of the package ... a one hour 1-1 consultaon worth £97 (for people outside London only). Take advantage of this offer - you are going to love it and the results it can give you.

Where’s your mind at?

GET YOUR MIND RIGHT

Page 13: Good Vibe Zone Jan/Feb 10

Jan/Feb 10 | gvzmag.com

Have you ever heard of the saying ‘You are what you eat?’ If you were to eat two big macs, a pizza, a tub of ice cream, chips and three grapes. Your system is overflowing with junk that the three grapes won’t do much to your bodies’ health. This is the same with your thoughts, ‘As a man thinketh in his heart so is he’* basically saying ‘you are what you think’. If you’re con-stantly filling your mind with junk, the lile posive thoughts won’t do much difference. The first step to succeeding in life is geng a right mindset. This is something I have seen person-ally in my life. I grew up believing junk and one of the thoughts was that I was ‘dumb’ because of the poor grades I achieved in crucial subjects. However as I grew, I later realised that this was a lie! God has blessed me with an amazing mind; I just need to put the effort in to change my grades. Since I’ve changed that junk mindset around, I have been achieving B’s and A’s in uni-versity! So what junk have you believed? This month your task is to think about what you’re thinking about and when junk arises it replace it with healthy thoughts. Get your mind right, this month!

Chantel Daniel

Name: Chantel Daniel

Endz: North London

Hustle: I’m a trainee accountant, but something tells me that its not going to make my millions on its own, so I’ve mixed it up a bit! I now am in the arts and entertain-ment industry, persuing a modelling career, as well as look-ing into becoming that all-round entertainer that I know I can be - I’m heaven-bent on stepping out to ‘hustle’ my worth

Moves: Having recently attained 3rd place in Miss Black Britain, I fully acknowledge my status as a female repre-sentative within Black Britain and will be approaching projects on this basis, as a voice... That’s about all I can say comfortably for now - watch this space, as they say!

Heroes: Besides the obvious ones, like God and my family, I would say, Ms Oprah Winfrey is top of my list... What a woman!

Hobbies: So cliche, but I looooove reading... As well as that, I now spend a good amount of my time keeping-fit. Besides these things, I consider myself a social entrepre-neur and like to invest in my skills as a networker.. I also take time to learn little bits about alot - so when I’m online, I smooch round looking for facts, figures, people - all capa-ble of adding to my worldy knowledge

Motto: 1. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto You. Amen 2. Each day signifies another opportunity to turn those negatives into positives.

Endz: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

Hustle: I’m still in school in Year 10 but I balance my school work and my music so I can get the best out of both

Moves: I am currently covering Beastie Boys – ‘Rhymin and Stealin’ which sampled ‘Sweet Leaf’ by Black Sabbath & ‘When the Levee Breaks’ by Led Zeppelin. I’m also promoting my video ‘Positive Meaning’ on Channel AKA and youtube. The song is about the negatives of our country from a 15 year olds point of view and a lot of people my age are starting to really relate to it

Heroes: I’d mostly like to meet Eminem. He’s the first rapper I started listening to and the one that really got me into Hip-Hop. I also admire the work of Chipmunk, Tinchy Stryder and N-Dubz as they have come from the underground scene to being com-mercially successful

Kelvin HallKelvin HallWords by Kelly Al Shaer

There are mes in all our lives when we feel that the odds are stacked against us; that we will never reach our goals or be able to turn our dreams into reality. Dur-ing these mes it is very easy to feel totally defeated and give up on pursuing the life we truly wish to be living. Through mes of adversity we have two choices; to give up and sele for a life we do not want to be living, or think posively and work hard to make things happen for the life we choose to live. There are people in this world who are born into incredible privilege and have everything handed to them yet, sadly are never able to achieve anything and live a life of inane inadequacy, and there are others who come from nothing and work hard to build a successful and producve life for themselves. It isn’t the life you are born to that counts, but your willingness to endure the hardships life throws at you and come out the other side stronger and wiser, with a posive out-look and producve atude.

We can all make excuses for why we are not achieving our full potenal but when we look to others for inspiraon and see what they have achieved, this is when our eyes are opened to the fact that the biggest thing holding us back is oen our-selves. One man who can tesfy to the benefits of tenacity and a posive outlook is Kelvin Hall, a successful entrepreneur with over twenty-five years of business experience behind him.

Born in Kenya to a Brish father and a local mother, Kelvin came to England, with his parents and siblings at age five. A couple of years later his parents separated and Kelvin went to live with his father in South London. He worked hard through school and decided that he would like to go on to study medicine and become a doctor, but by the me Kelvin turned 18, fate had revealed a different plan for him, when his father announced that he was to take a job that would see him moving to Scotland – Kelvin would have to leave school and get a job in order to support himself.

A few unfulfilling jobs followed and Kelvin was just about able to make ends meet, working for a marine insurance underwriters, and then as a croupier in a casino but he always knew that he was not the type of person that would ever be happy working for somebody else, and was determined to be self employed. This lead to Kelvin seng up a market stall in Camden, but it proved to be unprofitable and Kelvin was hardly able to keep himself fed, becoming undernourished and suf-fering from a collapsed lung. Things couldn’t go on this way any longer so Kelvin decided to take acon. He needed to be earning enough money to live more com-fortably, so took a job selling adversing space at the Daily Express newspaper. This was sll not what he wanted to be doing long term so decided to take his A levels in accounng and business studies in his spare me.

Kelvin got married and moved into a council flat in Penge, but what he and his wife didn’t know at the me was that them being offered their flat was part of a program to improve the area, in fact the previous tenant was a notoriously bad character, serving me in prison for murder. It was not a pleasant place to live, and even a local carpet shop refused to come out to the flats. Once again, Kelvin knew that things had to change and this became even more pressing when Kelvin’s wife Lisa revealed that she was expecng their first child. Kelvin acted on an idea and aer working day and night for nine months, was able to move himself and his family into their first house in Farnborough village, which they bought for cash; his son was a week old.Kelvin le his job at the newspaper and worked hard in finance and property de-velopment and things were going very well. He moved his family, which by this me included their second child, to Suffolk, taking advantage of the property boom in East Anglia. Life was very good for about six years, Kelvin drove a brand new Mercedes, lived in an immaculate house, kept horses and generally lived a comfortable lifestyle but then, in the early 1990s the property marked changed and Kelvin found that funding was being withdrawn overnight. Things were geng bad but Kelvin and his wife drew strength from each other and came to the reali-saon that material things were not important in life and the fact that they had a loving and close knit family was worth more than any material possession. By this me Kelvin and his wife had four young children and knew that they had to do the best thing by their family. They took the decision to move the family down to Kent and bought a Georgian farmhouse, which was virtually derelict, to renovate and then sell on. They also bought some rental drums and land, and Kelvin worked as a consultant for a few years on commercial property and water conservaon with John Forte. As it turned out, the farmhouse that Kelvin had planned to renovate and sell on remains the family home to this day.

Sll having the vision of creang a highly successful business, Kelvin had an idea and took out a patent on an environmentally friendly washroom product. He de-veloped the business and with a lot of hard work and determinaon, went on to sell his company for nine million pounds.

Now, at age 50, Kelvin is a father of six, and grandfather of one, and lives with his wife Lisa on the farm they bought almost twenty years ago. He is currently working on a couple of projects; the first an environmental drinks cooling technology that will dramacally reduce the electrical energy required to cool pre-packed beverag-es. The other project is a business he set up with his eldest son Craig; it is designed to enable anyone, regardless of age, experience or finances to make money from the Internet. They offer a wide range of products that can be sold via exisng or new websites - for more informaon go to monstermarket.co.uk

KICKIN’ KOWNLEDGE

The reason why we are told to focus solely on God and his business is because when everything in your life goes, dies, leaves, or

turns on you, God will never do that.

If you seek the ‘things’ first, the car, the job, the degree, your partner, then you miss the incorruptable and permanent spirit of God, and will be lost, confused and angry when those things are taken away from you, for-geng that nothing except from God is per-

manent in this world.

With God there is a 100% gurantee that even when the world we have come to love passes away God is sll there, stand-ing strong and loving us uncondionally. So forget seeking the creaon, the ‘things’ and go straight to the creator because he is the solid rock you can depend on everyme. Things cannot make you who you are be-

cause they are temporary, God does !!

SPORT

Erick OchiengWords by Jordon Downes

When Erick Ocheing, born May 1987 first wandered into the gym in 2004 he was a fieen-year-old boy who displayed a lot of ability. He showed potenal and tried hard when he trained. Aer a year and a half of paence and encouragement, he began to train regularly and developed the rare talent that has given him the nicknames ‘Wreckless’, ‘God’s Hand’ and most famously known as ‘Eagle’ Erick, who has put some bad mes behind him, owes his success to Jesus. It was when he started going to church when his life was turned around and he really began to take boxing more seriously. From a background of smoking pot at a young age, stealing cars and robbing to winning Gold metals at internaonal championships in Europe. Looking back on his troubled background, Erick is now very opmisc about things to come. He quotes that his boxing helps to keep him out of trouble and he’s come to realise how much Jesus loves him.

Erick’s favourite boxer is the Fighter of the 80’s Sugar Ray Leonard. Although they shared the same weight class, Erick’s ulmate ambion is to be the World Cham-pion at 6 weights.

GVZ look forward to seeing Erick at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Lethal B’s career has seen him collaborate with artists from Pete Doherty and Feeder, to Busta Rhymes and Ludacris, from Glastonbury to The Royal Albert Hall. Lethal has a universal appeal that draws audiences from diverse musical back-grounds, we are sure that 2010 will see him working with many more influential artists, as he takes his own career to a new level.

Bizzle,Bizzle

Lethal Bizzle aka Lethal B was born September 14th 1982 in Waltamstow, East London. He found his inial success in the UK Grime group, the ‘More Fire Crew.’ In 2002, ‘Oi’ reached the UK Top 10 singles chart, a rare achieve-ment for the genre at this me. Hello readers, It is oen said that the only thing constant in life is change. That said change is never easy or comfortable. Sll, being a constant means that change must be embraced just like the seasons in life or the fact that the sun rises in the east and set in the west. The Japanese embrace change through the principle of constant and never ending improvement (Kaizen). You can find it easy to deal with change in life and business because if you are a connual learner and allow for change in your health with rest diet and exercise, in your income through the increase in your skills and knowledge, in love by and understanding that people are inter-ested in themselves and basically never stay the same. Doesn’t life itself teach you that things, mes and people change?
