Small Schools Choir – EOI
Ms McEwen and Mrs Bertuzzi would like to know who would like to be part of the small schools choir. It would be a commitment to at-tend rehearsals and evening(s) performances. Our school is not participating this year as a
group but individual students are involved in
drama and choir groups.
P&C News – What’s happening… The students planted and mulched
our new citrus trees with Pat, Kara
and Karen’s help.
We would like to thank Angela (our school
cleaner) for donating the hay bales for mulch
in the vegetable garden and around our new
citrus trees.
Becoming an Agile Learner!
It is part of our vision to engage our students in becoming resilient

they did to show resilience to learn something new.

The Rivers Secondary College Combined Schools Writing
Initiative-
Primary Schools Day #1
Taj and Rory joined twenty eight keen young writers from across the Northern
Rivers who made their way to Goonellabah District Office on Thursday 5th of
April to work with local writer, Zanni Louise. All brought their brilliant ideas and
creativity to work with the Byron Writers Festival StoryBoard program. Under the
shade of a beautiful old fig tree, each student started working on a piece of writ-
ing that may be published in an anthology of student work from across the re-
gion. It is a year-long program and we look forward to working with the same
students throughout the year!
Congratulations Ava, Eden and Finley F.
for a huge effort in completing ‘Reading
A big thank you to everyone in our community for donating Coles sport vouchers. Vouchers are now bagged and ready to be sent of for Counting!
Students have been enjoying coding lessons using Dash, the robot. They have used problem-solving skills to make Dash move in so many different ways.
Have a safe and happy holiday!
We will see you all back here on
Tuesday 1st May.
Next term is full of wonderful new
adventures!
