1. Courses and Contents

This module is used to declare the name of the courses.

a) Course Syllabus - Syllabus tree is added to a course and material is uploaded

to the syllabus according to the tree.

b) Course Resource - Except course material other resources like web URL

references or any other files (doc files, video files etc) can be added to the

course.

c) Course Schedule - There will be a provision to add schedule for a course.

Indicators will be given to teachers and admin when the schedule nears completion.

d) Course Assignment - Teachers can upload assignments for a course. Students download the assignment and submit their answers online. Teachers

can also send feedback to the students for the assignments.

e) Course contents can be uploaded in form of PowerPoint, Video, Word, PDF

and SCORM files. There will be option to add voice narration if required.

2. Online Assessment

There will be an extensive evaluation system, in which teachers will be able to

add question papers and publish it to their groups of students. The students

can take them and assessment will be immediate, automatic and online.

a) Grading System - System will calculate the students' grade depending upon

the marks obtained by them. Admin or teacher will define the grading rule for

grade generation.

b) Certificate Generation - System will generate students' certificate. Certificate

formats, texts is to be defined by admin or teacher and initiated by the same.

3. Discussion Forum

The online discussion forum allows students to work together on projects in small groups, participate in on-going discussions focused on course content,

and to "present" group project products to the rest of the class.

The discussion forums build connections and class community by promoting discussion on course topics and more informal discussion. Teachers can also

participate in a discussion.

4. Video chat using Google Hangout API

Google hangout API will be incorporated into the system for chat or video chat between students and teacher, as and when required. This is subject to terms

laid down by google inc.

5. Notice Board

Notice boards are an ideal platform to allow administrator or teacher to put up

information if they want it to be seen by everyone around them.

Notice boards serve the purpose of informing, warning and directing people to

the right place for the right purpose.

6. Digital Library

An extensive digital library will be present in the system, which can be used as a repository for future use as well as reference for present use.

This module includes i. Efficient and effective storage of digital materials contributed by

teachers.

ii. Secure, reliable, long-term preservation for deposited materials. iii. Cataloguing of the materials.

iv. Search relevant information quickly using the various options provided.

An Advanced Search form is also available for more detailed searching.

v. One-click document downloads available directly on the search results page and within Document Details. Subsequently, they may be also

printed.

7. Student’s Query and ticket booking

Students can book a support ticket related to any course or assignment.

Teachers of the related course or assignment or the super admin will be able to

give the answer. That is, a support ticket system will be there.

8. Report

An extensive reporting system will be included in the system, pertaining to all the three levels of administrator, teachers and students.

Administrator

1) Students Individual Progress Report (student will get his progress report

on graphical format, on the basis of that particular test type of the same

subject).

2) Report of students (both in list and graphical format) with the dynamic

input of marks range, class test type, subject etc.

3) Student’s performance chart by individual student or by group of

students.

4) Overall progress report of sections, class and subject.

5) Progress report of each teachers by group of students, or by subjects.

6) Time spent by each teacher to their course.

7) Time spent by each section in the system.

Teachers

9. Customized Theme

Super admin can select a theme from some given options. Each theme will be

combination of different Colour schemes, fonts etc. Each super admin will be

able to put customized logo, slogan, organization name etc.

10. Help and Support.

The system will be intuitive and user friendly to operate. However, a guide and

help document will be provided each for admin, teachers and students, on the

general operation of the system.
