With less than 8% of the labour force employed by the government, Greece has one of the smallest government workforces among OECD

countries.

Between 2009 and 2012, Greece’s fi scal defi cit was reduced from 15.6% to 9.6% of GDP, the second highest improvement across the

OECD.

Between 2007 and 2012, confi dence in government in Greece decreased from 38% to 13%, the second strongest decrease within the

OECD.
