1. Vision and Mission

Vision:

The vision of the College is to develop economic and social equity for women,

thus contributing to equal rights and opportunities in the society which is a pre-

requisite for nation building. Through the adoption of these noble ideas, the

College aims to become a best Women’s College in the state. This vision further

shapes the mission of the College to sensitize young women to their rights and

place in society through application of relevant knowledge.

To dedicate socially responsible and to prepare knowledgeable future citizens of

India. To fulfill the same, our college was started with a vision to make higher

education available to poor and down trodden / under privileged sections of the

society of rural, backward and sidelined area.

MISSION: The formal education processes such as curriculum, sports, soft skills etc., are

aimed at holistic development of students. Institutional goals focus on quality

education that not only activate the mind but also develop confidence, leadership

and an ethical and moral orientation, as well.

It being a Government institution it serves the rural populace with higher quality

of education at an affordable fee structure and support. The mission is

emancipation of backwardness, poverty and mental constraints of local youth by

providing quality education, life skills, employable skills and personality

development.

After successful service for about 75 years, college is planning to offer one more

P.G. Course in Zoology with the existing M.A. (Telugu), M.A. (Economics),

M.Sc.(Chemistry), which will further enhance the rural empowerment process.

The institution has made good use of autonomy by introducing innovation in

curriculum which is approved by the Board of Studies of each department. The

Board of Studies includes subject experts from various Colleges, universities,

industries and alumni who offer their valuable suggestions that are taken into

account in the design of respective curriculum. The BOS periodically meets to

update and upgrade the syllabi based on the feedback obtained from the

stakeholders. The syllabi are prepared under the guidelines prescribed by the

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, Acharya Nagarjuna

University and UGC for autonomous Colleges.

Thus the mission is being fulfilled to a large extent. However, there are many

miles to go and new challenges to face for attaining complete satisfaction.
