For & on behalf of the President of India, quotations are invited by the undersigned for following fabrication work: Design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of Fume hood with blower in a laboratory of Mod Labs, BARC. Detailed specifications and requirements are attached in Annexure 1. The quotation should be sent in a sealed envelope. The envelope shall clearly be superscribed with the reference no., due date and with the words Quotation: not to be opened. It should be addressed to the following person and should reach him/her by speed post/ normal post on or before the date mentioned.

Instructions

1. The quotations are to be in printed letter head/ quotation format which should consist of GST Registration Number, PAN number of the firm, Service Tax Registration Number. Quotations received without signature, over-writing, summation errors etc. will be construed as invalid and thus rejected. The quotation should be sent in a sealed envelope. The envelope shall clearly be superscribed with the reference no., due date and with the words Quotation: not to be opened. It should reach the undersigned within the due date given above. The quotation reached after the due date will not be considered.

completion of the work and the department wil l not release any free-issue material except electricity and water.

4. Time of completion of job: 45 Days. 5. The offer shall be valid for a period of thirty days and in case of placement of the

work order, shall remain firm t i l l the completion of the work. 6. The installation work wi l l have to be done in our laboratory inside BARC premises

at Trombay, Mumbai.

Confidentiality Clause

1. No party shall disclose any information to any third party concerning the matters under this contract. In particular, any information identified as "proprietary" in nature by the disclosing party shall be kept strictly confidential by the receiving party and shall not be disclosed to any third party without the prior written consent of the original disclosing party. This clause shall apply to the subcontractors, consultants, advisors, or the employees engaged by a party with equal force.

2. "Restricted information" categories under section 18 of the Atomic Energy Act, 1962 and "official secrets" under section 5 ofthe Official secret Act, 1923: Any contravention of the above mentioned provisions by any contractor, subcontractor, consultant, adviser or the employees of a contractor will invite penal consequences under the aforesaid legislation.

3. Prohibition against use of BARC's name without permission of publicity purpose: The contractor, subcontractor, consultant, adviser or the employees of a contractor shall not use the BARC's name for any publicity purpose through any public media like press, T.V., radio or internet without the prior written approval of BARC.

Security Rules and Regulations

Rules and regulations of BARC Security have to be strictly followed by contractor. Contractor has to get photo passes issued from security for which Police Verification Certificate is a must. Police Verification Certificate is valid for only 3 years and need to be renewed after every 3 years.

Annexure 1

Design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of Fume hood with blower in a laboratory of Mod Labs, BARC

1. Fume hood working area 760 760 mm1600 mm, with sink and tap arrangement. Outside dimensions should not exceed: 912 mm 912 mm 2400 mm ht (height inclusive of the blower fitted on top). The fume hood would consist of the following: a) MOC of superstructure: Galvanised iron (GI) as per IS 277: 2003 standard. 1.0

mm thickness for all sheet metal paneling, 1.5 mm for back pillars and 1.2 mm for corner post.

b) Front Top Panel: Easily openable hinged top panel for easy access to flow control valve and electrical lighting fixtures for maintenance.

c) Corner Post: Triangular profiled corner post is placed on left and right hand side of the fume hood and it houses the utility line fittings and electrical receptacles.

d) Construction (Interior): Chemical & heat resistant, fire retardant, smooth finish, easily cleanable panels made out of durable prl integral work walls (6 mm thick). ASTM flame spread index < 25.

e) Active Kinetics exhaust system: Interstitial 2-point active kinetics exhausts system (for light, normal & heavy fumes) with baffle to ensure rapid exhaust of fumes.

f) Poly carbonate sheet in front sliding up and down with granite slab & storage cabinet below as per the standard designs.

g) Sink, water tap with drain arrangement: Worktop need to have a sink sealed with silicon sealant for drainage with water tap located on the left back side of worktop. Sink should be provided with a trap for waste collection. The pipeline connections from the sink to the water drainage pipes (currently used in laboratory) and integrating into present drainage pipes are in the scope of this supply.

h) Lighting: Fluorescent light (40 watt, 2 Nos.) with vapor-proof fitting for proper illumination should be fitted inside the fume hood. Intensity approx. 400 lux at worktop level.

i) Chemical storage base cabinet: Base cabinet should be ready to receive the fumes at its top. It will have following features: Internal special chemical resistant material lining to the cabinet walls. Two exhaust ports connected to the fume hood exhaust system internally. It should be completely chemical resistant, fire proof pre-lam/MDF cabinet construction. One removable horizontal partition need to be provided to store chemicals.

j) The fume hood should be on castors with locking mechanisms. Locking system for the base cabinet doors should be high quality make.

k) Blower: Silent PP + FRP high efficiency blower, consisting of continuous rating motor and chemical resistant impeller. 1HP blower confirming to international face velocity norms and as per safe fume hood airflow pattern need to be provided.

l) Ducting: PP/FRP ducting (150 mm150 mm 6000 mm) need to be made and connected to blower. The entire ducting connected from the fumehood to throw the fumes outside the room is in the scope of this supply.

m) The mounting of blower and its power supply will also be in the scope of this supply.
