This advertisement is issued for Direct Recruitment of B.T. Assistants

under Tamil Nadu School Educational Subordinate Service for the vacancies

forwarded by the User Departments. It has been decided to fill the following

vacancies of B.T. Assistants from the candidates who have been qualified in

the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper II Examination

3% reservation for Persons with Disability will be applicable for the above mentioned vacancies. For Arts subject (Tamil, English, Historyand Geography) 2% reservation for Visually Impaired candidates and 1% reservation for Physically Challenged candidates will beprovided. For Science subject 3% reservation will be provided for Physically Challenged candidates.

3. Scale of pay: PB-2: 9300 – 34800 + Grade Pay 4600.

4. Age limit : Not more than 57 years of age as on 01-07-2014.

5. Educational Qualification : The candidates should possess the following

qualification on the Date of this Notification ie. 14.07.2014. Bachelor

degree (B.A/B.Sc.,) in the subjects for which the application is made and

B.Ed degree under 10+2+3+1 or 10+3+3+1 or 11+1+3+1 pattern and they

should have passed the Paper-II of Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test

(TNTET) as mentioned below.

1. The candidates who wish to be considered for Mathematics,

Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology vacancies should have

qualified in Paper II of TNTET with Mathematics and Science as

optional subject.

2. The candidates who wish to be considered for History and

Geography vacancies should have qualified in Paper II of TNTET

with Social Science as optional subject.

3. The candidates who wish to be considered for Tamil and English

should have qualified in Paper II of TNTET with either Mathematics

and Science or Social Science as optional subject.

4. The candidates who wish to be considered for the B.T. Assistant

vacancies in the Minority language medium should have opted the

concerned minority language as language under Part – I in Paper II

of Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test and passed the same in the

above mentioned pattern.

6. How to apply : With the academic year 2014-2015 having commenced

already, the Recruitment process has to be finalized at the earliest. In this

context, the Teachers Recruitment Board has decided to accept the option of

willingness to join Government Service, already submitted by the candidates

at the time of certificate verification of TNTET-2012 & 2013, as application

for the post of B.T Assistant in the subject concerned. Therefore, all thecandidates who have appeared for certificate verification need notapply again for the above said B.T. Assistant post separately.

The details of candidates (Name, Post (subject) applied for, Date of

Birth, Percentage of Marks secured in HSC, UG degree, B.Ed, TNTET,

Weightage Marks awarded as per G.O.Ms.No.71, School Education (TRB)

Department, Dated 30.05.2014, Community, Reservation claimed for Tamil

Medium studies and Reservation claimed for Differently Abled category)

(i) who have passed TNTET – 2012 but were not selected for any Government

post previously (ii) those who have participated in Certificate Verification

process of TNTET-2013 and (iii) those who have participated in certificate

verification process of Special TNTET 2014 is being published in the TRB

official website http://www.trb.tn.nic.in. The candidates are advised toverify their details given therein.

In case, any discrepancies are noted by the candidate in the details

given in the website, such candidates are advised to come in person withnecessary original certificates to support their claim to the centreallotted for their Exam Districts as mentioned below for clarification(Table 1).

The Board has also decided to provide one more opportunity, as final

one, for all absentees (TET passed candidates including candidates who

passed in the previous year TET) for Certificate Verification. They are

advised to come in person with the necessary original certificates to the

centres allotted, the details of which are as follows (Table 2). It is herebyinformed that another chance will not be given to the candidates forthis purpose at any cost.

8. After verification by Teachers Recruitment Board, the information /

document and declaration submitted by the candidates at the clarification

camp will be updated in the Certificate Verification database. Based on this

a final database will be arrived, based on TNTET 2012, 2013 and Special

TNTET 2014 Paper II certificate verification details. The selection list will be

made Subject wise and Department wise as per the guidelines laid down in

the G.O.Ms.No.71, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 30.05.2014

and duly following the Rule of Reservation in vogue.

9. The subject wise vacancy details of School Education Department and

Elementary Education Department alone are notified now. The vacancy details of

Minority Language and Minority Subjects and the vacancies of Departments of BC,

MBC & Minorities Welfare, Adi-Dravidar Welfare, Social Security Department,

Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore Corporations will be published separately. This

Notification is also applicable for all those vacancies.

10. All the selections made as per this Notification will be subject to the outcome

of the W.A. No.707 & 708 of 2014 and M.P.No.1 and 1 of 2014 filed before the

Hon’ble High Court of Madras and other Writ Petitions pending before the Hon’ble
