* ‘Government-subsidised’ means courses subsidised under the Skills First program.

** “Up-skilling” means enrolling in a course at a higher level than your existing highest qualification. The following qualifications are not taken into account when determining eligibility: VCE, VCAL, International Baccalaure-ate Diploma and senior secondary certificates from elsewhere in Australia; completed Foundation Skills courses; any VET certificates completed as part of a senior secondary qualification; courses with the title ‘Course in …’; and overseas qualifications not formally deemed equivalent.
