Introduction

• Not only do people love to talk on their Smartphone, they also love to talk about them. They talk about the models they own, what they’re doing with them and, of course, all the apps they’re using. And where better for Smartphone users and consumers to talk about their Smartphone than in social media, where the whole world can hear the good.

• A mobile phones fulfill users’ needs by providing:

• (1) communication services allowing transfer of information in the forms of text, graphics and voice

• (2) wireless Internet services such as browsing and e-mail, and

• (3) multimedia and entertainment services such as color screen, motion picture, camera, games, and music.

Objective of the Study

• To analyze the factors influencing the brand choice.

• To ascertain the factors affecting the purchase product.

• Analysis of various attributes based on consumer satisfaction level.

Research Methodology

• Methodology:-

To assess the Impact of the assigned task I have used primary data collection methods. The data collection sources are primary data collect by questioner.

• Research Design:

This study is a descriptive research “COMPARATIVE STUDY OF CONSUMER PREFERENCE OF SAMSUNG AND APPLE SMART PHONES” It will give us a clear picture on the purchase influencing factors or satisfaction level of the consumer.

• Research Instrument

Questionnaire was used as the instrument to collect the responses from the respondents.

• Limitations of the study:Respondents had not able to give some answer or not interested for

questionnaire to fill up.The apple users are not more as compare to Samsung.

• Sampling Method

Judgmental Non – Probability sampling technique has been used to select the sample units for better productivity of the questionnaire. It is a convenience sampling.

• Sample Size

Sample Size for Apple user is 35 and Samsung user is 65 taken for research.

• Sources Of Data:

•  Primary: -Data collected through self-constructed questionnaire.

• Secondary: - Research papers   Internet Website for collections of other information. Journals

Data Analysis

• Here Samsung is most preferable brand in terms of the Price, reliability , Advertising and after sales service. Where apple is preferable for only appearance and larger brand name. It’s simply shown that in Indian market overall market of Samsung is far better than apple in terms of price , service etc.

• We can say in case of Samsung TV , Internet and other experienced friends are playing the role in the source of important. Its simply seems in Advertising of Samsung in TV and Internet. Where apple having Information source of Internet and Friends only. There is less TV Advertising of Apple compare to Samsung So the maximum source of Samsung is tv , Internet and Friends.

Findings• Samsung is most purchase by the consumer what I found during research.

• Samsung provide a Good Sales Service after purchase the phone. While Apple have rare service center just because of that they found difficulty after sales.

• Satisfaction level of Samsung users is high than Apple users.

• The Samsung brand having more Awareness in Indian market and maximum advertised brand in India compare to apple. Also price factor is also reliable than apple cell, that’s what I personally found.

• The source of information about the Samsung brand is highly depended on tv and internet, while for apple its only internet.

• It simply had shown that, Samsung taken place in their customer with maximum marketing via TV comparing to apple. Where internet is only the way for apple for the source of information.

 

• Price- price mater a lot in both Samsung and apple brand. Samsung having high reliability in terms of price than apple.

Suggestion

• In Comparison of Samsung and apple phone the price of apple phone is higher than Samsung. In Indian Market we can only compare both in terms of price.

• In the Operating system of Samsung they need to work more on the Innovation Part compare to apple.

• The Samsung company also need to work on the design of the phone to come in comparison of apple.
