Experience Self-Drive You may have a one time experience or a complete course with Arabian Incentive highly qualified desert guides. Our desert guide will be meeting you at the Bedouin Oasis Meeting Point, close by Exit 119 of Emirates Road. After the briefing the guide will give you a walkie-talkie to keep constant communica-tions during the drive. Once you’re ready to go, jump in your car and follow the trainer who will be in front of you! You will drive through the desert and cross the sand dunes, whilst the desert guide gives you tips and tricks through the walkie-talkie. You will have several briefings on the way. (This is a 2 hour course).

Dine in the desert, in the most exclu-sive desert camp in United Arab Emir-ates. Experience authentic Bedouin life, just the way it used to be hundreds of years ago. When approaching, the first sight is of beautiful lights glisten-ing in the trees, leading down to the exclusive oasis below. With true Bedouin style, the camp uses no electricity, and instead illumi-nates the oasis romantically with can-dles, antique lanterns and gas lights. A 5 Star camping night, for a true Bed-ouin experience within a tranquil oasis - A night to treasure forever. Following the BBQ dinner and Bedouin Oasis activities, it is possible to stay overnight. Away from the city, the overnight stay is a truly memorable experience. When the sky gets popu-lated with million of stars; the magic of the Bedouin night begins, gather around the bonfire and relax! Next morning, guests wake up to hear the beautiful sounds of the desert birds and to see the magnificent sun rise. Before leaving, a light breakfast is served. Cross the “Sahra” with the best desert companion ever. A short drive from the pick-up point takes you to the edge of the Desert to embark on an exciting trip on camel back. Once arrived, a Bedouin will greet you and will guide you through the mysterious Dunes. Along the trek you will see the Flora and Fauna of the Desert and if lucky, desert foxes, or desert gerbils that are most famous for looking like ‘mini kangaroos’. An hour of camel trekking over the dunes will take us into the heart of the De-sert to watch the magical sunset at your very private sunset lounge. The sun will gradually disappear behind the dunes, and you will see the sky turning in beautiful shades of orange, yellow and pink. Exclusive Horse Rides! If I had a horse, I’d ride off in the sun-set, where dreams, and shadows lie. To a life, where pain and sorrow don’t exist, and to where hopes, and dreams become reality. After an initial safety briefing and tacking up at the stable, the ride will start. An amazing two hours horse ride awaits you. Riding a horse is feel-ing in harmony with nature, and the world around you! The horse is among the most noble animal and definitely one of the favourite Sheikh’s passions. The ride will take you into the heart of the desert to watch the magical sun-set at your sunset lounge. Rub Al Khali: Empty Quarter Exploring Arabia’s legendary sea of sand, One of the most amazing territories on earth!

The harsh conditions of the Rub Al-Khali mean that it has seldom been inhabited or even explored by hu-mans. The nomadic Bedouins that have lived on the Arabian Peninsula for thousands of years deliberately set up travel routes that would only skirt the edges of the Rub Al-Khali. This is not surprising, since on an av-erage summer day, the temperature can easily rise to 60 degrees Celsius. Surprisingly, the extreme tempera-tures of the Rub Al-Khali still allow for many species of birds, plants and insects to flourish.

The Rub Al-Khali is of great im-portance from a natural resources standpoint. It is generally considered to have the highest amount of un-tapped oil. Some of the largest oil fields in the world extend into this forbidding desert. Yet, the normal conditions of the desert life make it

hard to stray too far into the Empty Quarter. At one point, before 300 BCE, some trade routes of the Bedou-ins did cross into the Rub Al-Khali, but these had to be planned very careful-ly. Some of the sand dunes in this desert reach heights of over 1000 feet (304.8 m), making it an impossible climb for a slow moving caravan. One interesting aspect of the Rub Al-Khali is the number of dry lake beds that can be found there. Scientists esti-mate that likely about 40,000 years ago, the Empty Quarter was a fertile place, benefiting from monsoon sea-sons.

Climatologists believe that the mon-soons gradually moved, benefiting areas like Egypt and India, and re-sulting in the drying up of numerous water sources in the Saudi desert. Fossil records show freshwater shells and a thriving population of animals

that could not survive the Empty Quarter’s current conditions.

The Empty Quarter is really not so empty, although it can appear so to the naked eye. In addition to having the largest oil supply on Earth, many discoveries of existing plant and ani-mal life have been made since 2006, when a huge expedition of scientists of several different disciplines ex-plored large sections of the Rub Al-Khali. Scientists found 31 different plant species, and 24 different birds that make the Rub Al-Khali home. There are also impressive records of meteor rocks and a large number of fossils, expanding the catalogue of creatures and plant life that have existed or still exist on the earth. Sev-eral other documents of this amazing desert can be found on internet and on National Geographic website.

Empty Quarter: an Adventure! The most beautiful desert in the World. Our desert guide will pick you up at the agreed meeting point. He will drive you to the Western Region of Abu Dhabi to Liwa Oasis where Rub Al Khali begins. It’s approximately 1 ½ hours drive from Du-bai and Abu Dhabi, interesting stops are on the way like the very unique car mu-seum: the private car collection of H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan. (Subject to approval on the day of the trip). On arrival in Liwa Oasis, lunch will be in a very typical restaurant -do not expect anything else than authentic Byri-ani rice! After lunch you will head straight into the sand dunes. Our expert guide will let you enjoy off road driving in the amazing Liwa surroundings. Several stops are on your way, to include camel farms belonging to the pure UAE Bedou-ins. See a bed of desert roses lying under few centimetres of sand, followed by a tranquil sunset stop and BBQ dinner in the middle of the desert. Have fun with

sand boarding from the highest dunes in the world, and relax smoking shisha pipes and star gazing long into the night. Overnight in igloo tents; and enjoy a light breakfast before heading back home.
