¿A qué hora desayunas? - Ejemplos:

I have dinner at nine o’clock (Ceno a las 9). I have breakfast at eight o’clock (Desayuno a las 8). I have lunch at two o’clock (Como a las 2).

2. What subjects do you study at school? (Wat sabyects du yu

stady at scul?) ¿Qué asignaturas estudias en el colegio?

� I study maths, spanish, english, science, arts, PE (pi i), music (and religion). Estudio matemáticas, español, ingles, ciencias, arte, EF, música (y religión).

3. What time does school end? (Wat taim das scul end?)

¿A qué hora acaba el colegio? � School ends at two o’clock. El colegio acaba a las 2.

4. What do you do when you get home from school? (Wat du yu du wen yu get hom from scul?) ¿Qué haces cuando llegas a casa después del colegio? - Ejemplos:

I have lunch and do my homework (Como y hago los deberes). I do my homework and play videogames (Hago los deberes y juego a los videojuegos). I do my homework and have dinner with my family (Hago los deberes y ceno con mi familia).

5. What time do you go to bed? (Watt aim du yu gou to bed?)

¿A qué hora te vas a la cama? - Ejemplos:

I go to bed at 10 o’clock (Me voy a la cama a las 10). I go to bed at 9 o’clock (Me voy a la cama a las 9).

6. When is your birthday? (Wen is yor berzdey?) ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?

-Ejemplos:

My birthday is on March the 2nd (2nd= second). It is on June the 12th (12th = twelfth) It is on September the 1st (1st = first) * Para las fechas se dice primero el mes y después el día, y se utilizan los números ordinales.

7. What day is it today? What day was yesterday? What day

will be tomorrow? (Wat dey is it tudey? yesterdey? tumorrow?) ¿Qué día es hoy? ¿qué día fue ayer? ¿qué día será mañana? *Días de la semana: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. -Ejemplos: Today is Tuesday. Yesterday was Monday. Tomorrow will be Wednesday. * Es importante que usen el presente, el pasado y el futuro del verbo to be (subrayado)

It is at the end of the corridor in front of the girls’ bathroom. (Está al final del pasillo en frente del baño de las chicas). It is the last classroom on the left, in front of the stairs. (Es la última clase en el lado izquierdo, en frente de las escaleras). In the corridor turn left and go straight on. It’s the first classroom you see on the right. (En el pasillo gira a la izquierda y sigue recto. Es la primera clase en el lado derecho).

It is sunny and cold (Soleado y frío). It is sunny and hot (Soleado y calor). It is sunny and warm (Soleado y templado). It is cloudy and cool (Nublado y fresquito). It is rainy / snowy / windy / stormy (Con lluvia / nieve / viento / tormenta).

¿Qué tiempo hizo ayer? Yesterday was... + weather -Ejemplo: Yesterday was sunny and warm.

� In my house there are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen… En mi casa hay 4 habitaciones, 2 baños, una cocina… * Importante usar there is cuando es singular y there are cuando es plural.

2. Is it near this school? (explain distance) How do you

come to school? ¿Está cerca del colegio? (explicar distancia) ¿Cómo vienes al colegio? -Ejemplos: Yes, it is near the school (Sí, está cerca del colegio). I come to school walking (Vengo al colegio andando). No, it is far from the school (No, está lejos del colegio). I come to school by car (Vengo al colegio en coche).

Andando desde el colegio hasta tu casa, ¿qué ves? I can see houses, trees, a shop, a bank, a park, a chemist… (places in the local area). Veo casas, árboles, una tienda, un banco, un parque, una farmacia…(lugares en el pueblo).
