Grade 4 Volume 9 18th March, 2018 We completed the novel Around the World in 80 Days”. Students really enjoyed the novel. We will continue Unit 4 week 5. This week we learned about theme and we learned some characteristics of poetry. Our objectives include: Identify the theme of a story Distinguish between connotation and denotation Determine the number of stanzas in a poem Objectives 1- To recognize pronoun-antecedent agreement. 2- To recognize and understand Three- Letter Blends. 3- To write a fine informative paragraph efficiently. We covered during the last week the following items: Grammar - Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement Spelling - Three-Letter Blends - Writing - How to write an informative para- graph focusing on "Word Choice". We are going to cover the following items during the coming week: Grammar - Pronoun-Antecedent Agreement Spelling - r- Controlled vowels Writing -Writing an informative paragraph; writing the final draft. We completed the novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. Students really enjoyed the

novel. We will continue Unit 4 week 5. This week we learned about theme and we

learned some characteristics of poetry. Our objectives include:

were very excited learning new things

and Producers.

Students have learned the following:

understand that they are dependent on

Understand the importance of entrepre-

neurship.

Explore the world of work.

We have covered the following vocabulary:

Product, producer, entrepreneur, consumer,

interdependence, wage, income.

We had our second quiz.

Activity:

Students brought pictures about different

celebrations around the world and facts

about them.
