The Battle of the Brains It was a time of the year where our students prepared for different competitions. We started with the Math Quiz Bee that was held last January 31, 2013. It was a very exciting contest among the three finalists- Dhira, Ethan and Matthew at the last round. After this mathematical challenge, on the 5th of February, our students showed their prowess in spelling during the Spelling Bee. The contestants were tested how ac-curate they can spell a word both in written and oral competi-tion.

The school celebrated Chinese New Year last February 8, 2013. Indeed, it was a successful event that everyone en-joyed. Teachers and students wore their Chinese costumes that day. The highlights of this activity were the Barongsai Performance and the Mandarin Spelling Bee.

Our students were on the go as they also prepared and took the midterm examinations. We look forward for more en-joyable activities for the next months as we preparer for our Mentari Show entitled “Annie”.
