Please go through this schoolwork as best as you can.
Reminder the Morning Ring, Story Time, Emotional Intelligence and Break time is done every day,
these are additional activities.

Talk about winter:
What is winter?
Why do we say its winter?
How do you feel in winter?
Can we see winter?
Tuesday
What to eat in winter? : (please give your child sometime to think don't just give them an answer,
rather a clue)
What do we eat in winter?
Butternut soup, tea, coffee, hot chocolate cappuccino etc.. in general, warm or hot food.
Why do we eat warm or hot food?
Can we eat ice-cream in winter?
We can but it’s too cold for it.
Wednesday
What do we wear in winter?
What kinds of clothes do we wear in winter? - warm clothes
Why do we have to wear them? - to keep our bodies warm as it is cold.
Let your child give you examples of winter clothes - boots, gloves, scarfs, jackets, long pants, socks
etc... If they are dressed in winter clothes, let them mention their colours aswell.
What will happen if we wear swimming costume and swim in winter?

Which activities can we play in winter? - netball, racing, soccer, basketball, etc...
Friday
Give your child a magazine:
Let your child cut out family pictures and paste it on a paper.
Ball activities :
• Bounce and catch
• Throw and catch
• Kick the ball as far as you can
• Skip with a skipping rope
Newspaper activities:
• Squash an A3 of newspaper like a ball
• Throw it as far as you can
• Throw and catch it
• Put it between your feet and hop forward and back with it
• Put it under your chin and walk on your toes.
General
Activities for the week: Choose one or two a day

Extra activities:
• Days of the week (before, after and in the middle). How many days do we come to school?
How many days do stay at home? Why must we be at home? How many days do we have in a
week? Say the days of the week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday....
• Months of the year (before and after). How many months in a year? Say months of the year,
January, February, March....
• Seasons of the year. How many seasons in a year? What do we call this season? - the wind is
blowing, and all the leaves are falling off the trees - autumn. We are all wearing boots, scarfs,
jackets, gloves, and we are freezing - winter. All the flowers are coming out, the grass turns
green and we are going to swim- spring etc...
Ask your child to show you their body parts, name them and how many are they - head, neck,
shoulders, chest, palm of their hand, ankles, thighs...

Name the four seasons. Point to the Winter season. Only colour in the Winter season. Don’t colour in the other seasons, leave them blank.
We wear mittens to keep our hands nice and warm. Draw a line to connect the matching mittens, Then colour the pairs to match.
Trace the line leading the squirrel to the most nuts. How many nuts can you count? How many nuts can you count at each line? How many nuts can you count all together? (If the squirrel collects all the nuts from each line.)
Trace and colour by number using the code.
Can you tell how many eyes the snowman has? What does the snowman have for a nose? Is this snowman happy or sad? Why do you say so? How many hands does the snowman have? What clothing is he wearing to keep himself warm? Colour in this snowman.
