Introducing LIPA Graduating Actors 2021

This year, our acting showcase takes on a whole new

direction. With restrictions on live theatre, we want to bring

LIPA’s Graduating Actors 2021 Showcase to you in an innovative,

new and thrilling format, allowing you to get to know LIPA actors

like we do.

So, we’re releasing a digital package that includes showreels,

voicereels, soundbites and interviews with our actors, CVs

and statistics, not to mention a professionally digitised live

performance in our Paul McCartney Auditorium: this will be

an interactive experience that you can access from your own

digital device.

We’ll be distributing material throughout 2021 and the digital

showcase, directed by James Baker (Jerry Springer: The Opera,

Hope Mill Theatre), will be released in April.

We’ll also be continuing to stage productions from the Institute,

with brave and radical works in 2021: Revolt. She Said. Revolt

Again. by Alice Birch is directed by Amy Draper; Sarah Kane’s

groundbreaking 4.48 Psychosis is directed by Nick Bagnall;

Cloud 9 by Caryl Churchill is Gemma Bodinetz’s first production

since departing from the Everyman & Playhouse; Laura Keefe

directs Stoning Mary by Debbie Tucker Green; and Ursula Rani

Sarma’s version of Lorca’s Yerma is directed by Monique Touko.
