4. Board to have power to make rules and regulations.

5. Course of education to be secular, and members of the Board to have power to visit.

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of £ 1 , 3 0 4 for the Establish- Titlei ment of a Grammar School.

WH E B E AS certain lands are now vested in the Superin- Preamble, tendent of the Province of Auckland for the purpose of

establishing a Grammar School in the Province of Auckland AND WHEREAS since the said lands Lave been so far vested in the the Superintendent a fund lias accumulated arising from the said lands And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the object of the said Trusts

I3E IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof as follows :—

Short Title. The Short Title of this Act shall be, " An Act to Appro-priate the Grammar School Trust Funds."

a certain sum ap- 2. By and with the advice of the Board of Commissioners purpose a specitlc hereinafter appointed the Superintendent may issue and apply

a sum not exceeding the sum of £1,304 for the purpose of establishing and maintaining in the Province of .Auckland a Grammar School in pursuance of the terms upon which such lands were granted.

Board^how to be} 3 . The Board aforesaid shall consist of the Superintendent the Executive Council the Speaker of the Provincial Council for the time being and three other members to be appointed by the Judge of the Supreme Court at Auckland.

Board to have power 4 . The said Board shall have full power to make rules regulations U*eS and anc^ regulations f° r the conduct and management of the said

Grammar School and the right to appoint all masters and servants requisite for the maintenance of the same.

Course of education 5. The coursc of education shall be purely secular and membera?f1B ard1to a n y member of the Board shall be at liberty to visit the School have power to visit, when he shall think fit.
