Grammar is a system and a set of rules of a language.


Without grammar what would

language sound like?


We need grammar to ensure that our language makes sense.


When we talk about verbs, nouns, articles, adjectives, pronouns, etc., we are talking about GRAMMAR


To talk about the things around us, we need NOUNS

A noun is a person, place

or thing.Definition

THE is called a DEFINITE article. A & AN are called INDEFINITE articles.

In the first sentence it is clear which apple I am talking about. It is definite!

In the second, it could be any apple. It’s not definite (indefinite).
