What is a run on sentence?
A run-on sentence consistsof two or more sentences written as if they were onesentence.
There are two main types of run on sentences:
1) A fused sentence is a word group containing two or more
sentences that are run together without any punctuation.
2) A comma splice contains two or more sentences separated by a comma instead of by a period or a semicolon.

How to correct run-on sentences…
1) Correct run-ons by adding an end mark after thefirst idea
2) Correct run-ons by replacing a comma with a
semicolon, by adding a coordinating conjunction(and, but, or, nor, or so) after the comma
3) Correct run-ons by making one of the independentclauses into a subordinate clause.
