The Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Marching Band (Symphonic Soul of the South Marching Band) started off the event by marching through the space. This band came from the school with historical roots to the building we were occupying.
The building was Southern High school from 1956 – 1993. A professional video of the history of the building and interviews with alumni played during the opening ceremony.
Interview of the Band Director on internal video site.
Departmental executives ran through the banner – like the champion football team!
