Birthday Celebrations ! Happy Birthday to all those celebrating a birthday in January Wishing you all best wishes on your special day. It is a celebration of You! Happy New Year!! I wanted to give a big shout out to all that showed up for the Christmas party on the coldest dayof the year; I hope every- one enjoyed it. I can hardly believe we are in a new year. Hopefully this year will bring great things to all of you. I have several people and organizations that I would like to thank for all their help during the Holiday Season. I couldn’t have done it without them. First, I’d like to thank Sandra E. for orga- nizing the gift giving this year. It would not have happened had she not stepped up to do it. She put a lot of time and effort to make it successful. I’d also like to thank Claudette, Clair and the students at Grace Abbott School of Social Work; Diane Worthington from the Xerox Corporation; Amy Coacher from the Learning Headquarters; Rita, Louise and Madeleine from Preceptor Upsi- lon of Beta Sigma Phi; all of the great volunteers that showed up to help with the Christmas party and to Kieran A. and Page for taking these great pictures. We have a terrific speaker coming out on Thursday, January 19th to talk about energy savings and programs to help cut some of those costs. Also, Karen and Nancy from the Grace Abbott School of Social Work are coming out to talk briefly about an upcoming opportunity to use your voices and talk to Congress about is- sues that you are dealing with. There is going to be very limited space for this. Please join us in January to sign up. See you on the 19th! Go Huskers!!
