gratitude project butte college
TRANSCRIPT
(ALL BUTTE COLLEGE FACULTY & STAFF WILL BE RECEIVING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION-)
WHAT IS IT?
You may be receiving a good, old-fashioned Thank You card in the next few days from a
grateful student.
That’s right, it’s not an email!
WHY?
The faculty & staff of the Communication Studies Departmentare helping students demonstrate gratitude.
We believe it is important to recognize members of the collegecommunity who live the value of “Students 1st” every day.Although we often hear about the positive impact that faculty& staff have on our students, it is rare for that to becommunicated back to the individual responsible.
We thought it was time to pause for a “moment of gratitude”and that the time-honored tradition of a genuine thank youcard is an appropriate way for students to recognize a few (ofthe many) who have helped them along the road to theirsuccesses.
HOW?Be genuine – honestly indentify your feelings for/about the individual you have
chosen to thank.
Be specific – include a concrete example of the behavior you appreciated.
Inside the CardFormat as follows:
Dear __________(Your message here)

Department: (or work station)
*seal it with tape or sticker if you so choose
