What is Height Mod Height Modernization

Activities undertaken with the intention of making the establishment of elevations easier, cheaper, more accurate, and more consistent.

Started as a Joint Effort between NGS and California

Demonstrated that technologies and partnerships could successfully be applied to issues involving elevations

Current Status: Some 16 states have been funded Another 17 states are interested but have yet to be

funded (Including Indiana) The balance have yet to express interest
