October 2, 2019 The Kalahari Resort WISCONSIN DELLS | WISCONSIN Judging Criteria • Speed • Proper bag building technique (Go to WisconsinGrocers.com/contests to download a pdf on proper technique.) • Style, attitude and appearance • Number of bags used • Uniform bag weight Eligibility • Contestant’s store must currently be a WGA member. • One contestant per retail location. • Contestants must spend more than 40% of work time bagging groceries. • Register and submit entry fee by Friday, September 27, 2019. • People of all ages are encouraged to compete. • Individuals are only allowed to compete the Great Wisconsin Bag-Off three times. • Previous National Bagger Champions (First Place) of NGA Best Bagger Competition are not eligible for entry into contest. Contest Fees • Spectators & Fans, No Charge! Free entry for friends and family to cheer on their favorite contestants. • Best Bagger Contestant $25 When you enter the Great Wisconsin Bag-Off, your $25 entry fee will include access to the WGA Innovation Expo trade show, plus a handsome participation plaque. PRIZES 1st Place Winner $500 Cash and Trophy plus a free trip to compete in National Best Bagger Contest. First Place Winner also receives state-wide media exposure. Trip is February, 2020 to San Diego, CA, and includes round-trip airfare for two, plus two night’s hotel and up to $150 in meal expenses.
