Seven Days
I saw another one of those seven day advertisements today. They are the ones that claim that you can change your life in just seven days. There are ones for losing so much weight in seven days. There are ones for getting in shape in seven days. There are ones for starting to make a great deal of money in seven days. There are even ones for finding that perfect relationship in seven days. It is amazing just how many people there are out there who think that they can
make our lives wonderful in a week. I have, however found one way that you can change your life in just seven days. It doesn't require that you buy an exercise machine, take a pill, invest your savings, or give out your credit card number either. All you need is yourself, and all you have to invest is your heart, soul, and mind. Just by doing four simple steps for seven days, you can begin to turn your life into the joyous experience you always hoped it could be.
The first step is simply to realize and know just how much God loves you. Once you see that God loves you and wants you to be happy, then everything in your life will become better. You will begin to feel, in fact, just how glorious life can be.
The next step is just to love God back. That is all God ever asks of us. By loving God back, you will take the first step towards living the way you were meant to.
Step three is to love YOURSELF. If God loves you, then you should be able to love yourself as well. You are a Child of God, after all, and worthy of love.
The last step is to go out and love others too. Love is a gift that you can’t just keep to your-self. It has to be shared.
If you do these four steps for seven days then you will never want to stop. Your soul will come alive. Love and joy will flow through you and show up in every single thing you do. You will not only change your life, but also become a blessing to God and to the world. -Joseph J. Mazella

This month in Children’s Church, we covered a variety of subjects. In the first lesson, the children
learned about the story of David and Goliath. The children understood David was just a youth when he fought Goliath and stood up for God when all others were afraid. The children learned ways to stand up for God, how to show others that they are Christians themselves, and how to help draw others closer to God. In the second lesson, the children reviewed the “Creation Story” and
had a blast reviewing the trivia questions on the subject matter. The third lesson was Jonah and the Whale. Children learned that when God says “Go!” they should obey God and “Go!”. In lesson four, the chil-dren learned about King Nebuchadnezzar. The children were shown how pride can lead to their own downfall and how being humble pleases God. Full Salvation, Our High Privilege
“Son, thou art ever with Me, and all that I have is thine.” Luke 15:31
We may talk a great deal about the father’s love for the Prodigal Son, but when we think of the way he treated the elder brother, it brings to our hearts a truer sense of the wonderful love of the father. In our parable, the elder son was always with his father and had two privileges: unceasing fel-lowship and unlimited partnership. But he was worse than the Prodigal Son, for, though always at home, he had never understood, received, or enjoyed these privileges. While the Prodigal Son was away from home, his elder brother was far from the enjoyment of home, even while living there. Full salvation includes unceasing fellowship: “Ever with me.” An earthly father loves his child and delights to make his child happy. “God is love” (1 John 4:8), and He delights to pour out His own nature on His people. Many people talk about God hiding His face, but there are only two things that ever caused God to do so—sin and unbelief. Nothing else can. “God is love,” and, speaking with all reverence, He can’t help loving us. We see His goodness toward the un-godly and His compassion on the erring. His Father’s love is manifested toward all His children. Full salvation includes unlimited partnership: “All that I have is thine.” The elder son com-plained of the father’s gracious reception of the Prodigal Son while he had never been given a lamb to enjoy. The father, in tenderness, answered him, “Son, you were always in my house; you had only to ask and you would have been given everything you desired and required.” And that is what our Father says to all His children. But you are saying, “I am so weak; I cannot conquer my sins; I can’t do anything.” No, you can-not, but God can. For so long, He has been saying to you, “All that I have is yours. I have giv-en it to you in Christ. All the Spirit’s power and wisdom, all the riches of Christ, all the love of the Father—there is nothing that I have that is not yours.” I began by saying there are two classes of Christians: those who enjoy full salvation, and those who do not understand it. Well, if it is not clear to you, ask God to make it clear. Just let yourself go into the arms of God. Hear Him say, “Everything is yours.”

from other marketing materials, such as press releases, market studies, and reports.
While your main goal of distributing a newsletter might be to sell your product or service,
the key to a successful newsletter is making it useful to your readers.
A great way to add useful content to your newsletter is to develop and write your own arti-

uct.
You can also research articles or find “filler” articles by accessing the World Wide Web.
You can write about a variety of topics but try to keep your articles short.

Periodically, Social problems and concerns confronting our Community will be spotlighted:
Human Trafficking Human Trafficking is modern-day slavery and involves the use of force, fraud, or coer-cion to obtain some type of la-
bor or commercial sex act. Human Traf-ficking is a hidden crime, as victims rarely come forward to seek help because of fear of law enforcement, traffickers or lan-guage barriers. The traffickers look for people who are susceptible for a variety of reasons, including emotional vulnerability, economic hardship, natural disaster or psychological vulnerability. The trauma caused by traffickers can be so great that many victims may not identify themselves as victims or ask for help. To be Continued...

Ten Tips To Avoid Financial Chaos This Holiday Season
For many families, the holidays and overspending go hand in hand. If the holidays have created
financial chaos in the past for your household, you may be wondering how to survive the holidays this
year. With some thought and creativity, you can design a joyous season without racking up enor-
mous credit card bills to spoil your new year.
1. Decide how much you can afford to spend—ideally, you have saved some money to spend over
the holidays. If that hasn’t happened yet, don’t give up on this idea. Now is the time to cut back
on extras like movies, dining out, gourmet coffees, and so on until the holidays are over. Without
looking too hard, there is always something in a budget you can trim back to save money.
2. Budget for all the extra costs—we often focus on gift-giving and forget about other holiday-related
costs that can drain our cash flow. These costs should be considered BEFORE holiday spending
begins. Such extras include decorations, extra food and drink, greeting cards and postage, travel
expenses, holiday donations, and shopping costs like gas and parking.
3. Set reasonable expectations for your family—if the cash flow is tight and gifts will be minimal, be
sure to prepare your kids in advance. This will keep their expectations realistic and avoid the dis-
appointment that comes with wanting every toy advertised on TV! It can also help to relieve par-
ents of any guilt they may feel for not giving “enough” to their children.
4. Give gifts that engage children’s interests and imaginations—books, craft kits, building blocks,
puppets, crayons and chalks can provide hours of fun at minimal cost. Avoid toys that require
batteries as they are expensive to use, and may break easily. Match gifts to a child’s abilities, but
buy gifts that encourage a child’s creativity.
5. Shop early—by knowing how much you can afford to spend at the holidays, you can divide that
number by 12 to determine how much to save each month for next year’s shopping. Having cash
on hand allows you to buy items on sale throughout the year. Another strategy is to sign up for
email alerts for sales with big retailers. Or, buy one gift every paycheck.
6. Find a family project over the holidays—your family could organize a pet food drive and donate
the items to the local animal shelter. Or, volunteer your time to serve a holiday dinner at a home-
less shelter. Besides showing kindness to others, your children will learn there is more to the holi-
days than just gifts for them.
7. Make coupons as stocking stuffers for your kids—each coupon can be redeemable for time with
mom or dad doing a fun activity together, like a trip to the library, playing dolls for an hour, and so
on. This gives each child quality time with parents, and show how important relationships can be
rather than accumulating more stuff.
8. Make coupons for others tucked into hand-made holiday cards—these coupons can be redeemed
for services like babysitting, lawn care or snow shoveling, cooking, or cleaning someone’s home.
9. Make gifts like baked goods or holiday wreaths—everyone loves home-made baked goodies
when you deliver them personally and stay for a visit.
10. Keep track of spending—by using cash, you can track your spending and keep it under better
control. Every few days, reconcile your shopping list to make sure you don’t spend more than
allocated.
