GREEK SHORTS SUMMER 2020

INDEX NOTE

The first part of this catalogue includes short films that were produced in the second semester of 2019 and the first of 2020 and have been financed by the Greek Film Centre in the framework of its funding pro-grammes and/or its inter-national film festivals’ promotion and support programme. Some of the films were just completed and seek for festival premiere.

The second part of the catalogue includes short films in progress financed by the Greek Film Centre in the frame-work of its funding programmes and they will be completed in 2020 or early 2021. At this stage they are seeking for post-production support and for world/international pre-miere in film festivals.

who promise to take him along when he is old

enough. Until one day he gets involved in a

drug deal that goes horribly wrong.

The movie describes the relationship between

two siblings living in the industrial zone of Elef­

sina, an area near Athens. Their neighbourhood

is connected by a bridge, motorway 65, to

an adjacent area, which has more diverse de­

mographics. The two areas, coexist in tension

because of conflicts which reflect cultural dif­

ferences between the two communities. The

hostility is also present in the strong sports

culture of the area, further sparking the mutual

antagonism.
