Hopes

• Install solar panels on Senior’s building either by purchase (stimulus grant); or,

• Power Purchase Agreement with an ESCO• Roof space will provide 17% of the electric

need of the building; most during high peak or demand time periods.

More Hopes ( Grant Pending)

• Construct a 1500 ton Chiller plant (expandable to 4500 ton) on top of 40 foot, 3,000,000 gal storm water collection vault for irrigation and cooling water tower make up with thermal storage (ice tanks).

• Supply cooling water to 2,425,000 SF of conditioned space and a newly constructed middle school. 50 % more efficient and reduced construction costs.

Still Trying to Figure Out Building Affordable Housing

• If the developer pays for energy efficiency (2-10% premium) and resident enjoys the utility savings.

• How do we bridge that gap for affordable, workers housing: Tax Credits, Utility Loans, Rebates, Grants.

• Any Ideas?
