Each year, East Side
Baptist Church acts as a
drop off facility for Oper-
ation Christmas Child.
This year, East Side
filled 776 boxes, and had
a total of 2,464 boxes that were sent from the
Greene County area. Thank you to all who
helped make so many children’s Christmas
much brighter!
Since Central Baptist Paragould Campus
launched on August 12, 2018, we have bap-
tized 295 people. While it’s not about num-
bers, we do want to give God the glory for all
295 people. Why? Because that means 295
more souls now call Jesus their Savior! Lives
have been changed, and God continues to do
immeasurably more, and for that, we are in-
credibly grateful.
This year, our
A s s o c i a t i o n
has partnered
with Lifeway,
to offer the very
best to our As-
sociation for
VBS 2020. The Association has a training
scheduled for February 1, 2020. This year,
each of our churches will also be able to order
all VBS curriculum and materials, directly
from the Association, because of our partner-
ship with Lifeway. For more information, you
may contact Amanda at our office at 870-

New Haven is looking for a part-time stu-
dent pastor. If you are interested in this po-
sition, please call Bro.
Ron Pickney at (870)
476-1505.
Marmaduke First Baptist Church, once
again, hosted their annual Pastor/Staff Ap-
preciation Dinner, on Tuesday, December
3rd. There was a wonderful meal served,
with a special time of worship, followed by
Dr. Sonny Tucker, sharing a Word of en-
couragement to the group.
“The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”
Jeremiah 8:20
As we enter into the coming new year, one might think that the scripture
I have used is somewhat unusual. But in reality, we live in a very fast—
paced society, and time can get away from us before we know it. If we’re
not careful, the time for planting and harvesting, will come and go before
we realize it. That’s why it is important to be reminded, that early plan-
ning is an absolute necessity. With that said, right now is the time to
begin planning Vacation Bible School, children and student camps, mis-
sion projects, and other activities that will be used to share the Gospel in your community. Let
me share some suggestions on how you might approach your planning process:
1) First, calendar all of your 2020 events, (We have calendars available that will help you get
started). Assemble your leaders, and designate a Saturday Morning, an afternoon or and
evening, to set aside a couple of hours, to calendar what you are going to do, as a church in
2020.
2) Place key leaders to oversee and direct each event.
3) Help those leaders build teams to carry out their event.
4) Make sure each team has adequate finances to fund their event.
5) Make sure to get your calendar in front of your church, and community, ASAP, so that
your families can plan their vacations around your calendar.
6) And lastly, begin the process with prayer and ask for God’s direction. At the close of your
planning, pray for God’s blessings. By the way do not stop praying!
Have a great start to your new year!
In His Service,
Bro. Dave

On January 20th,
Arkansas Baptists
will recognize the
Sanctity of Human
Life Sunday. For
some women this can
make the difference of choosing life or not. It is
an opportunity to speak the truth in love about
abortion. It is an opportunity to stir in someone's
heart the need to make a difference in the life of a
woman and her expected child. In America alone,
there are almost three abortions every mi-
nute. That is 3,400 lives a day that are tak-
en. Be a part of changing this statistic for 2019
by learning, praying, giving, and serving.
FACTS...
3,400 abortions happen each day in the US.
That is almost 3 abortions every minute!
Every 4 minutes a life is saved at a pregnan-
cy care center
93% of abortions happen because of an un-
wanted pregnancy.
35% of all women will have at least one abor-
tion by the time they are 45
Ronald Reagan established Sanctity of Hu-
man Life Day, continued with George H. Bush,
was discontinued with Bill Clinton, and brought
back with George W. Bush.
2015 brought new recognition of what hap-
pens at some abortion clinics with the selling of
body parts... adding wrong on top of a wrong
Every abortion represents two lives: the child and
the mother.
Reaching out to the mother can result in saving a
child.
