Ford’s overall system upgrade enables the 2010 Fusion Hybrid and milan Hybrid to operate longer at speeds up to 47 mph in electric mode. Each can travel an estimated 700 miles on a single tank of gas. En-hanced electronic throttle control also reduces airflow on shutdowns, reducing fueling needs on restarts.

The 2010 altima Hybrid offers a revised front-end appearance, new 16-inch wheel design, refined interior fabric and finishers, and one new exterior color. The vehicle is estimated to have a hybrid system net power rating of 198 horsepower (148 kW) while maintaining low tailpipe emissions, earning an Advanced Technol-ogy Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) rating.

tOyOtA CAMry HybriDFirst offered in 2006 as the first Toyota hybrid built

in the U.S., exterior enhancements to the 2010 Camry Hybrid include a hybrid grille, distinct front bumper, wider lower intake, restyled fog lights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Camry Hybrid, equipped with Hybrid Synergy Drive, is also certified as an Advanced Tech-nology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV).

Ford’s 2010 escape Hybrid and mariner Hybrid SUVs use a 2.5L I-4 designed to run on the Atkinson combustion cycle. An advanced engine processor enables improved transitions between gas and electric vehicle mode. The hybrids also feature a powertrain damping system to reduce vibrations and feedback to the driver and other vehicle occupants.

MErCEDEs-bENZ s400 HybriDJoining the restyled 2010 S-Class line, the s400 Hybrid offers

the same interior room, luxury, and convenience features, but is differentiated by 17-twin-spoke 18-inch wheels and HYbrID logos on the trunk lid and dash, as well as blueEfficency badging on the front fenders. A special hybrid pictogram within the speedometer shows the energy flow, energy recovery, and battery charge.

The 2010 silverado Hybrid and sierra Hybrid full-size pickups achieve 40-percent greater city fuel economy and a 25-percent improvement in overall fuel economy while offering a 6,100-lb. towing capacity. Partnering GM’s two-mode hybrid system and a 6.0L gas V-8, the hybrid trucks perform effi-ciently, including all-electric driving up to 30 mph and traveling more than 500 miles on a single tank.

CHEvrOLEt tAHOE HybriD / gMC yukON HybriD & yukON DENALi HybriD

The Tahoe Hybrid and yukon Hybrid continue into 2010 relatively unchanged. The new yukon denali Hybrid addition, along with the other two trucks, deliver up to 6,200 lbs. of towing capacity (2WD) and standard eight-passenger seating capacity.

Fuel tank capacity: 24.5 gallons.Fuel economy: 21 mpg city/22 highway (2WD, 4WD).Cargo capacity: 108.9 cubic feet.

CADiLLAC EsCALADE HybriD / EsCALADE PLAtiNuM HybriD

The key to General Motors’ two-mode hybrid system found in the 2010 Cadillac escalade and escalade Platinum Hybrid is that the system generates the electric power used to propel the vehicle. When brakes are applied or the vehicle is coasting, the electric motors within the hybrid system create electric-ity stored in the 300-volt battery which moves the vehicle and renews the regenerative braking cycle.
