- It can be grown in many types of soils but well drained loamy

soils rich in lime yields more.

- Crop is very sensitive to cold. 15 to 35 C is suitable.

- Night Temperature should be less then 25 C

Nursery and Selection of Verities

- Cucumber can be cultivated by direct sowing or by seedling.

- Select the variety suitable to the season, good yielding and suitable to

the Green house production ( Parthinocarpic).

Land preparation and Planting

- MB ploughing fallowed by cultivation.

- Application of compost, Neemcake,

basal dose of fertilizer and biological.

- Rotavation , bed making, mulching,

marking and trans planting.

- Spacing 1.5m Furrow to furrow, row to

row is 50cm and plant to plant 40 to

45cm.

Pruning

- Pruning operation was carried

out at 15 days after sowing,

remove the side branch,

train the plant with single

stem.

Harvesting

- harvest the fruit with out

damaging the plant.

- After harvest place the produce

in the shade and immediately

send to the market.

- Total yield will be 40000 to

45000 kg / acr.
