GREENMOUNT STATE SCHOOL
8TH OF MARCH 2013 TERM 1 WEEK 6
P&C
Congratulations to the new P&C committee members.
President—Rebecca Masters
Secretary—Tracy Oniga
Treasurer—Prue Kennedy
We would like to thank the outgoing committee members for all their hard work last year.
Greenmount Cross Country
This year again we will be holding our own school cross country on Thursday the 28th of
March in preparation for the Central Downs cross country at Pilton State School. All
children will be running in their age event and Medals will be again awarded to 1st, 2nd
and 3rd place getters.
School Fun Run
Greenmount State School will be holding an adidas School Fun-Run as a major fundraising
event this year. The event will be held on 28th of March 2013 within the school grounds in
conjunction with the School Cross Country. The adidas School Fun-Run is a healthy, fun and
active fundraiser that ensures we send the right message to our students about getting
active, having fun and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The main focus of this event is on
participation. Family support is most appreciated as we encourage all students to get
involved. All students have received a Sponsorship Form to help collect sponsorship on
behalf of the school. The funds raised will be used to purchase: Library books.
Young Leaders Day
Again this year we will be taking our school leaders down to Brisbane for the Young
Leaders Conference on Wednesday the 27th of March. The School has decided to cover
the cost of the Students tickets plus bus travel. This is a wonderful opportunity and
enjoyable day for all involved. Permission forms are attached.
Staff meetings
Our staff meetings are held every Thursday morning before school starts. We would like
to ask all students and parents not to enter the classroom at this time. Thank you.
