Love was in the air, on our Valentine ’s Day celebrations at Embracia. Residents enjoyed a romantic afternoon drinking champagne and consuming many sweet delights. Kelvin our 96 year old resident volunteered to man our kissing booth, it was a huge success!

January Lifestyle Events

Australia day Celebrations happened on Thursday 25th of January eating pies and sausage rolls and enjoying a cold beer. Followed by thong throwing. Residents displayed their Aboriginal Art Work which they had completed in our Art and Craft class.

Residents showed their Baking skills making Pumpkin Scones. Residents enjoyed their scones with butter and jam and a cappuccino.

February Lifestyle Events

Chinese New Year Celebrations will take place in the Theatre on Friday 16th of February with Chinese inspired Cuisine. Residents will be able to eat with chopsticks. Let’s see what the future holds for our residents from our fortune cookie readings!

Morning Melodies at the Reservoir RSL will start up again for the year on Wednesday 28th of February. Morning Melodies continue throughout the year, on the last Wednesday of every month.



Messages from Management

We would like to remind our residents and families to take all new clothes directly to the laundry for labelling.Our laundry staff will return the clothing items to you once they have labelled them.There is an excess of unlabelled clothing in the laundry.Residents and families are invited to check the unlabelled clothing from Monday 26th Feb – Sunday 4th March. All clothing will be placed in the theatre.All left over clothing will be donated to charity on Monday 5th March.

Reminder to all visitorsPlease do not park in front of or near the entrances of our home.These area’s need to remain clear at all times for our emergency vehicles.Our home has 2 car parks if there is no parking spots left in the Glasgow Ave Carpark please check the McFadzean Ave Carpark.Thank you

INTRODUCING STAFF MEMBER Shereena started working at Embracia 10 years ago as a student on her placement. She was hired as a PCA straight after completing her studies.

Embracia feels like a second home to Shereena. She became a Team Leader in 2011, and in August 2016 started working as Embracia’s

Receptionist. Shereena is married with two children both now in University. Her son is Studying Medicine and her daughter in doing a

Master’s Degree in Teaching. In her spare time Shereena enjoys reading books, gardening, cooking and music.

SOMETHING WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOUUsed to be a High School Science Teacher.

Shereena’s motto ‘Not to be successful, but to be faithful.’
