Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources management with financial services, banking and manufacturing firms. Mr. Erath’s governmental affairs career includes state-level legislative and regulatory advocacy and relationship management in the southeastern U.S. In 1992 he was promoted to this position while with American General Financial Management Corp and then in 1999 he was reassigned to A.G.F.M.’s parent company, American General Corporation; his assignment was broadened to include other AGC issues including life insurance, annuities and retirement systems. In 2001, when American International Group, Inc acquired AGC, Mr. Erath was given responsibility to advocate for AIG’s property, casualty and various specialty commercial insurance lines as well. His region has grown over the years to include Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. Mr. Erath directs local counsels and consultants, represents AIG directly when appropriate, and serves on the boards of numerous industry and trade associations. Mr. Erath serves on the board of directors of the Alabama Life & Disability Insurance Guaranty Association and of the Florida Insurance Council and on the Government Affairs Council of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He previously served as a director, president and other officer positions with numerous financial services associations. In 2005, Erath received the Marquis Award from Associated Industries of Florida and the Florida Institute for Legal Reform for leadership and support of tort reform efforts there. Prior to his state government relations career, Mr. Erath held several human resource management positions for American General Financial Management Corporation. Prior to that, he was senior H.R. executive for First National Bankshares, Inc., New Orleans, where he also served on the firm’s senior management and asset management committees and was secretary to the compensation and benefits committee for the Bank’s board of directors. Prior to that, he held human resource management and professional positions with Avondale Shipyards, Halter Marine Corporation and TBW Industries, all located in New Orleans and south Louisiana. Mr. Erath is a member of the Newnan Georgia Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. He has served as a director and as chairman of the Tallahassee, FL Ronald McDonald House Charities and a director and president of Avery Park Community Association. He has also chaired committees and boards at churches he has attended. He currently attends St. Paul Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, GA, where he chairs

Greg Erath has spent 20 years engaged in state governmental affairs endeavors. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources management with financial services, banking and manufacturing firms.

He has also chaired committees and boards at churches he has attended. He currently attends St. Paul Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, GA, where he chairs the Stewardship Board and sits on the church’s board of directors. He was a board member, director and president of the New Orleans chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management and was an adjunct professor of management at Loyola University of the South. Mr. Erath resides in Newnan, GA. He grew up in New Orleans and attended Louisiana State University New Orleans as a Centennial Award Scholar, received a Bachelor of Arts degree and completed courses in the school’s MBA program. He enjoys golf, gardening and reading. He is married to Pamela Belew Erath and jointly he and Pam have four grown children: Amanda and Chas Erath, and Drew and David Elsberry.
