Feeds mainly on nectar, fruit and occasional insects. 14 Blue Winged Parrot - found in Tasmania & southern Australian mainland. Migrates from Tasmania to mainland Australia in the winter. 15 Superb Parrot - found inland Victoria and New South Wales. Declining due to changes in habitat - vulnerable 16 Bourke’s Parrot/Dove - Scattered throughout inner Australia. Active by night in extreme heat. 17 Sulphur Crested Cockatoo 18 Kakariki - found in New Zealand. Wild birds regularly eat seaweed. 19 Cockatiel - only crested parrot, widespread throughout Australia. Flocks of over 1000 have been seen. 20 Princess Parrot - arid interior of Australia, nomadic, occurring in some of the hottest environments in the world. 21 Hooded Parrot - found in the tropics of the Northern Territory. Is listed as threatened because of habitat destruction for mining. 22 Red Rumped Parrot - found in southern mainland of Australia. 23 Budgerigar - wide distribution of interior Australia. Worlds most kept parrot. Wild specimens are nearly always green and yellow. 24 King Parrot - found in eastern Australia. 25 Short Billed Corrella - found from north central to eastern Australia. 26 Spotted Tail Quoll (N/A) - small populations exist on east coast of Australia and Tasmania. Listed as vulnerable due to habitat loss, human persucation and introduced predators. 27 Eastern Quoll - once found in south eastern mainland Australia but now restricted to Tasmania since the introduction of predators such as foxes and cats. 28 Galahs - found all over Australia including Tasmania. One of a few species that has benefited from European settlement with the like’s of agriculture. 29 Regent Parrot - occurs in two separated populations in south Western Australia and Victoria/South Australian border. 30 Swift Parrot - found and breed in Tasmania, migrate to mainland Australia (mainly Victoria) during winter months. Highly endangered species. 31 Poultry, Guinea Fowl - houses Chickens, Roosters and Guinea Fowl. 32 Tasmanian Devils 33 Tasmanian Devil Interpretation Centre 34 Red Tailed Black Cockatoo - scattered throughout Australia, linked with Eucalypt lined river systems. 35 Bush Stone Curlew - an insect and meat eating bird found throughout Australia. 36 Gang Gang Cockatoo - found in southern mainland Australia. 37 Eclectus Parrot - found in Cape York Peninsula, Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
