    CULTURE: plants will not tolerate full

    sun. foliage remains evergreen during

    mild winters. Very hardy and durable.

    FLOWERS: pink, sometimes light pink

    and white flowers above foliage

    LEAVES/STEMS: large waxy, fleshy,

    thick, dark green leaves. Leaves are

    nearly evergreen and can turn a deep

    burgundy or red in the fall.

    SOIL TYPE: moist, well-drained

    CULTURE: plants do not do well in dry

    soils. Can be grown in full shade,

    leaves tatter over the winter.

    FLOWERS: white, small, very fragrant.

    Flowers can be pink as well

    CULTURE: an aggressive spreader.

    Does not tolerate heat well and could

    die out in hot dry summers. Removethe poisonous orange-red berries that

    are occasionally produced.

    stems, and red edges. In cool weather

    leaves have even more red color.

    TYPE: moist, organic

    CULTURE: trim old foliage in spring.

    described as citrus to cheap perfume

    laced with diesel fuel.

    CULTURE: performs well in moist/wet

    areas, including standing water. Can

    be very aggressive, especially green

    forms.
