We the representative of the employees of King’s
Hotel would like to propose for hostel which
located inside Ayer Keroh, Malacca. We would like
to propose for a hostel as the management of
King’s Hotel is experiencing certain problems.
King’s Hotel is located at Ayer Keroh Melaka creates a unique
blend of convenience, comfort, assistance and warmth,
enabling you to consider it home.
It has 70 units of well-appointed guestrooms which includes
one, two and three bedrooms apartment furnished with five
star Slumberland mattresses in all rooms thus to enhances
the sleeping comfort.
Apart from that, the hotel also comes with perks like
complimentary daily shuttle services within Ayer Keroh area,
daily newspaper, ample car park and free internet wireless
access.

comprehensive solutions to help our customer meet their requirements

Select committee. A committee is selected to set up
the café.
Call for meeting.Do a meeting for all team committee
at King’s Hotel to inform them about the plan to build
a Hostel.
Determine place. A specific place in the company has
been choosing. Its location is nearby the information.
Work out the budget for the project. Do a research to
determine the costs for the project.
Open to the employees to stay in the Hostel. The
employees open to stay in the hostel by RM200 a
month. The facilities such as television.

Construction of Hostel
The area in the workplace will be having a hostel. The estimated
construction cost of hostel is approximately RM 992, 855.00. It will be
included M&E works, sites clearing and earthworks-external works,
ancillary works/building, Miscellaneous and professional fees.
OTHERS
The total for professional fees is RM145, 470.00
The pre-period.
The presentation of the proposal to the board of directors is
expected to be in May and expected to be approved within 1 week.
After the approval, it will take approximately 6weeks to construct
the cafe.
The construction period
The construction period is expected finished in 3 weeks. It will have
two parts which are where area to build the hostel.
The post period.
After the construction, it will take 1 week to installing the fixtures
and fittings. Other than that, would be open to employees and
supervisor in 2 weeks. The cost per month would be not expensive.
The hostel is approximately complete in the end of July 2014 and it
would be operate in early of August 2015.
The operation period
The hostel is expected nearly with the workplace and also has a
café.
Diffuclt to have the facilities in the hostel
Facilities are significant and helping the guests
environment/comfort satisfaction. The hotel staff prefer to
have laundry and internet access. Good showers and
bathrooms are important to our staff.
Difficult to handle the project
The hostel has room for 132 people, but it is very difficult to
predict the market and likely success of the hostel. I was also
worried about staff behavior. So one of my biggest concerns
was designing a place that maintains its advantage even as
other hostels come about.
Difficult in getting proposal to be approved
The proposal is difficult to be approved because the factor.
First factor is higher cost.
