Ambuja is a family owned enterprise founded by Late Shri Tilokchand C. Shah in 1970’s with Long term Vision, Quality Commitment & Customer Satisfaction.
Ambuja was founded with Stainless Steel Trading and Distribution business.
Ambuja’s first Plant for manufacture of Stainless Steel Sheets, was setup in Ahmedabad.
Diversification in Chemical industry – Erection of the first unit for manufacture of Dye‐Intermediates in Ahmedabad (240 MT PA.)
Second Plant for Dye‐Intermediates was added with extra capacity of 800 MT PA.
Major Expansion in Chemical complex ‐ 2 more plants erected for manufacture of Naphthalene Based products & Multi product Speciality Plant for Custom Synthesis & Tolling arrangement.
Acquisition of Dyestuff Plant in Vatva – this was done on the request of some of our existing customers who also wanted to procure commodity colors. This plant has a manufacturing capacity of 2400 MTPA. A step towards Forward Integration for our customers.
2nd Diversification in Agro Extracts industry & setup India’s Second unit of Cold Press Castor Oil & its derivative with 1800 MTPA capacity.

• After exploring several options, we decided for WINDMILL POWER SOURCE & invested Rs 230 Million to generate 4MW WINDMILL power on the west coast of Gujarat State.
