Duration: 8 Days/7 nights --- Number of participants: minimum of 15
1st day: We will picked you up at Catania airport and transfer to the hotel near Etna and Taormina. The Resort is
located above a river that flows from the mountains from which during the time has formed a canyon called Gole
Alcantara. The Gole Alcantara Botanical and Geological Park offering a spectacle that is unique anywhere in the
world, in a setting of a thousand colors and extraordinary scenery, canyons up to 50 meters deep and pleasant nature
trails for relaxing walks. The restaurant offers the delights and dishes of typical Sicilian cuisine prepared and served in
an impeccable manner, enhancing the flavors of ancient culinary art, which makes it famous all over the world. The
dishes served are accompanied by careful selection of top local wines. Check-in and welcome drink - Dinner at hotel
and overnight.
2nd day: Breakfast at Hotel. Today we explore the Volcano Etna, largest active volcano in Europe, and admire a
unique combination of nature and the uncontrollable essence of fire. It reaches up to an altitude of 2000 meters in a
square with restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Hiking to the crater Silvestri to enjoy a breathtaking view of the
valley and the sea. At 13.00 departure to visit a cellar producing ETNA DOC wines for a wines and culinary tasting –
Lunch with dishes of Etna’s local cuisine paired with 3 wines + cottage cheese, Sicilian sausages, snacks, olives, sun
dried tomatoes, bread and olive oil). Return to the hotel – dinner and overnight.
3rd day: Breakfast at hotel – Departure for a cooking course at Tenuta Carbonara Farmhouse. The cooking class is not
just like learning recipes to make a good pasta or rather the delicious Ragusa biscuits or whatever. It is rather the
chance to discover the taste, the passion, the poetry and the history that stand behind every single speciality of the
typical sicilian gastronomy. The key to turn every recipe to a success are ingredients, that have to be fresh and high
quality grade, but they are not enough. Only when the right ingredients are mixed together with armony and
transformed according to the ancient protocols a recipe becomes an unforgettable experience of taste. The cooking
class takes about three hours and will be held in the language of the group, or in English. Participant gets apron with
the logo of the farm that then take home as a souvenir, and a folding with the recipes of what 'they're going to prepare,
during the course there will be tasting of Ricotta 'cheese, and wine. in conclusion we give each participant a certificate
of participation. In the end of the cooking class you will eat what you prepared. Afternoon departure for a walk
excursion to Noto, Late baroque town nearby Siracusa. After the reopening of Cathedral of Noto 2007, the place has
gained back the honour of being one of the most beautiful baroque pearls in Sicily. Return to the hotel – dinner and
overnight.
4th day: Breakfast at Borgo – Departure to visit the ancient borgo of Castelmola and to have a lunch at Turrisi
Trattoria with dishes based on local antipasti and pasta pistachio. After lunch you will visit Taormina and its Greco-
Roman amphitheatre and enjoy the chic boutiques and café. Return to the hotel . dinner at hotel and overnight.
5th day: Breakfast and check-out – Departure to Milazzo – Hidrofoil to Lipari (1 hour) – At arrive in Lipari transfer to
the Hotel Carasco which has direct access to the sea and a big pool with sea water. Check-in and welcome drink. (The
island of Lipari, in the Greek language indicated by the name of Meligunis, is the largest archipelago and has about
10,000 inhabitants. The tourist sees since his arrival the fortified town and the Town Hall, established in the former
Franciscan monastery. At his feet are perhaps the two most famous bays: Marina Corta, with the Church of the Souls of
Purgatory and the seventeenth-century Church of St. Joseph and Marina Lunga, the largest port. The soil of the island
is of volcanic tuff, obsidian and pumice, and its coasts are characterized by cliffs and sea stacks that many face. The
oldest rocks dating emerged about 225,000 years ago and volcanic phenomena are now limited to a modest activity in

restaurant (Filippino), that is open since more than 100 years and is famous for dishes made by fresh fish. Lunch base
on fish antipasti. Leisure in the centre of Lipari shopping street. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
6th day: Breckfast at hotel – Panoramic excursion around the internal island of Lipari. Departure by bus toward the
mountain for a first stop to Quattrocchi to enjoy a breathtaking view of the island of Vulcano and Sicily. We continue
to reach Terme di San Calogero a Greek-Roman thermal springs to visit a museum and the stoves from which still
flows water at 58 °. We than continue toward the village of Quattropani to have a tasting at typical Aeolian restaurant
– Light lunch on the rooftop terrace with spectacular views of Salina, Alicudi and Filicudi (lunch will be based on
Aeolians appetizers and local wine. After lunch we continue the route toward the village of Acquacalda and we stop at
the quarries, the oldest eruption of lava that created the black obsidian and white pumice. Departure toward Canneto
village (the biggest beach of all islands) and we end the tour. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
7th day: By a private boat we depart along the coast of Lipari and the Faraglioni and then dock at the port of Vulcano
(Volcano (Hierà), is the closest island to Sicily, is located 12 miles off Cape Milazzo and Lipari is separate from a
small canal off just over a mile. Its name derives from the Roman god and is composed of volcanoes Lentia, Piano,
Vulcanello and Fossa, the most active of the four. The island is characterized by perennial manifestations of volcanic,
very popular with tourists who come here also to enjoy the hot mud and fumaroles for cures and useful primarily for
the treatment of rheumatism and skin diseases. The characteristic odor of sulfur, which is also used for inhalation
therapy, becomes more intense if you take advantage of the opportunity to go hiking - unforgettable - the Crater to the
pit, surrounded by "geysers", emissions of sulfur vapors escaping from the Earth's surface). Sightseeing tour by private
bus around the island of Vulcano – familiarity with the history of the archipelago , the island of Vulcano . Stops to the

Day 1: Arrive to Palermo airport or port and your friendly driver guide will be waiting for you. Trasnsfer to Baglio Oneto Resort
and Wine 4*. The Baglio is situate in Marsala, near Trapani. It is situated on a hill of 150 mt with a beautiful landscape of the
Natural Reserve of the Stagnone and Egadi’s islands. BaglioOneto Resort and Wine is managed by the Oneto Family. Under the
Baglio is keeped in barrels a special selection of local wines with the historical brand ―BaglioOnetodeiPrincipisi San Lorenzo‖.
The La Calandra restaurant offers a selection of local food and wine with imaginative cuisine and impeccable service with dishes

Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Morning we will head to Marsala, the city of wine. Marsala literally put Sicilian winemaking on the
map, and a wine tasting at Donnafugata winery is illustrative of the area's winemaking prowess. In the afternoon, excursion to
Erice, the mystical Erice, an extraordinary little village! Overlooking the sea and high in the hills, you could almost take Erice for a
Sicilian version of Camelot with its coastal fog and fairy tale castles. Free time to explore Erice’s maze of medieval stone streets on
your own. There are many beautiful panoramic spots to take in the views. Dinner at leisure. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 3: Breakfast at hotel – departure to Casteldaccia and Visit the famous Corvo Winery. Today Corvo is a historical brand not
only for Sicilian wine making, but also one of the Italian great classical wines, one of most popular wines in the world. You will
visit the Museum of Agriculture and the ancient "Bottaia". Finally you will taste special Sicilian wines. In the afternoon departure
to visit Palermo's monuments reflect magnificence of two worlds: East and West that come together. Capital for both the Arabs and
the Normans in clashing contrast. This tour enables you to discover the capital of Sicily and Monreale. Monreale is famous for its
beautiful position overlooking the city of Palermo. Inside the Cathedral of Monreale is possible to admire amazing mosaics
representing stories from Old and New Testament, made by Byzantine artists. The escorted tour end to and afterword you will visit
have free time to walk to the city shopping center. Dinner at leisure. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 4: Breakfast at hotel and check-out - Departure to Planeta Estate winery, one of the most beautiful wineries in all Sicily
located in Sambuca di Sicilia in the Valle del Belice. The estate is situated in Menfi, amongst rolling hills, with mesmerizing views
of the sea and the vineyards. Welcome reception at Planeta Estate La Foresteria wine bar for an orientation of the tour and an
overview of Sicilian wines and wine and olive oil tasting. Afternoon relax in the estate or to the beach which is at 4 km from the
Resort. Dinner at leisure. Overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast at hotel and check-out – Departure to Tenuta Regareali – Tasca D’Almerita. The estate was founded in 1830 and
is a fine wine producing estate in Sicily with an aristocratic background. The winery is located on the Regaleali estate close to
VallelungaPratameno and is one of the most beautiful in Sicily. Tour to vineyard and guided tasting of wines with typical snacks
from the estate. In the afternoon departure to Tenuta Scilio - Wine Hotel on Mount Etna. The Wine estate and cellars date back to
1815 are surrounded by the organically cultivated vineyards, where for centuries the traditions of winemaking have been handed
down from generation to generation. Accommodation in the reserved rooms. Dinner at leisure and overnight
Day 6: Breakfast at Hotel – in the morning meeting with the Scilio family, Luisa that will show you the vineyard, the old palmento
(milestone) and the barrique, than you will taste their best wine and a delicious red passito of Etna. In the afternoon you will visit
Taormina and its Greco-Roman amphitheatre. You will enjoy the chic boutiques, bustling cafes and restaurants. Dinner at leisure
and return to the Hotel. Overnight.

Barone di Villagrande – The Barone di Villagrande estate sets on Etna’s slopes at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level. The
vineyards, dominated by the estate, slope down towards the sea into a natural amphitheatre. These lands, which have always
belonged to the family, give birth to wines that, since 1727, have been perpetually placed on local and international markets.

Day 1: Arrival in the eastern Sicilian capital of Catania. Meeting at the airport with our representative and transfer to
Tenuta Scilio - Wine Hotel located near Mount Etna. The Wine estate and cellars date back to 1815 are surrounded by
the organically cultivated vineyards, where for centuries the traditions of winemaking have been handed down from
generation to generation. Accommodation in the room - a bottle of wine will be for the guests in the room. Visit the
cellar and wine tasting with snacks. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight.
Day 2: Breakfast at hotel – Guided tour to the volcano Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Today the height of
Mount Etna is 3329 meters above sea level. Throughout its existence, Etna erupted about 200 times. The last eruption
was recorded 3-31 January 2011, when the local authorities were forced to close the international airport of Catania. In
ancient times, the image of the volcano, the period of its activity and rest, was associated with the Greek and Roman
mythology: a devastating eruption of Mount Etna explained the struggle between the gods and the giants. After the
visit of Etna we stop to a ancient produrer of wine to visit the cellar, to have wine tasting with 3 types of wine, the
freshest ricotta, Sicilian cheeses, olives, bread, olive oil, dried tomatoes, sicilian salami). After the break departure
toward Taormina - Taormina today, thanks to the lush subtropical vegetation, cultural monuments and luxurious
lifestyle rightly recognized as a center of international tourism and a fashionable resort, attracts discerning travelers.

Day 3: Breakfast at hotel. Morning, we will depart for a visit at COS winery. Fascinated by ancient cellar practices,
COS decided to work with amphoras, clay jars that were used by the ancient Greeks. Visit the winery and wine tasting
combined with tasting local delicatessen. In the afternoon we depart to visit the city of Noto – One of the Sicilian cities
that became UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2002. This citiy already existed during the Medieval Age, but was
rebuilt (in part or entirely) after the earthquake of 1693. Having followed the stylistic model predominant during the
era, the cities’ architecture, urban plan and decorations constitute the culmination of one of the last periods of
Baroque’s flourish in Europe. Dinner at leisure. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 1
Arrive to Palermo airport – our friendly driver guide will be waiting for you and transfer to the hotel in the
centre of Palermo. Meeting with our representative that will present you the program of the tour. Dinner at
leisure and overnight.
Day 2 – Palermo and Monreale
Breakfast at hotel. Today we start a walk to reach the famous ―four corners‖ converge in a quartet of baroque
palaces from the climax of the Spanish rule dating from 1560. Then our short stroll will continue on to Casa
Professa Church (Admission fee: not included) officially the "Chiesa del Gesù." This breathtaking Church is
an amazing example of pure "Sicilian Baroque" style. After, crossing the old city centre, we arrive at the
lively Ballarò Market, a place overflowing with beautiful fresh fish, and local vegetables and cheeses.
Originating from the era when Sicily was occupied by the moors, this 1000 year old market has run much in
the same manner for centuries. It has strong Arab influences, resembling an eastern souk, and these
influences are also evident in the merchandise itself. Next to mounds of ricotta and caciocavallo cheeses,
barrels of olives and fat slabs of swordfish sit saffron and other spices, as well as sacks of beans and
gorgeous indigenous fruit and local vegetables. Here we have the opportunity to taste a typical palermitano
dish, such as the famous Panelle (a thin paste of crushed ceci/garbanzo beans rolled into sheets, fried and
served in pizza-like slices). This afternoon a short drive take us to Monreale, to see where the Arab-Norman
art and architecture reached the pinnacle of its glory with the Duomo (Admission fee: not included) launched
in 1174 by William II. It represents scenes from the Old and New Testaments all in golden mosaics. Later we
return to Palermo – dinner at leisure and overnight.
Day 3 Erice and Segesta
Breackfast at hotel – Departure to tour western Sicily where we reach Erice uptown. The Elymians settled the
medieval town of Erice, which was an important religious site associated with the goddess Venus. Wander
through its ancient streets and visit some of the famous homemade pastry shops—world-famous for marzipan
candies and other delicacies like almond and pistachio pastries. Lunch at leisure. Later we travel through
the Saltpans to see the historic salt flats works, where the ancient tradition of harvesting salt from the sea is
still practiced. This afternoon we continue onto Segesta, one of the major cities of the ancient indigenous
Elymian people, to visit the unfinished Doric temple (Admission fee: not included). late 5th century BC, built
on a hilltop just outside of the ancient city and has a commanding view of the surrounding area. Dinner at
leasure. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 4 Agrigento
Breakfast at hotel and check-out – Following breakfast, we drive through the interior of Sicily to reach the
hotel near Agrigento. Check-in and leisure at hotel. In the afternoon we visit the finest of all ancient Greek
sites of Agrigento —the complete Doric Temples (Admission fee: not included). Dinner at leisure. Return to
the hotel and overnight.
Day 5 Piazza Armerina
Breakfast at hotel and check-out. Departure to visit the amazing Roman Villa of Casale (Admission Fee: not
included) in Piazza Armerina. The mosaics discovered here are celebrated among scholars of antiquity,

Day 6 Etna and Taormina

view of the valley and the sea. Lunch at leisure. In the late afternoon you will visit Taormina and its Greco-
Roman amphitheatre. Taormina is a hill-village with a glossy sheen of glamour. A drink at the tables of Caffè
Wunderbar (or similar) in Piazza IX Aprile may set you back a few euros, but you'll be basking where
Tennessee Williams and Elizabeth Taylor basked before you. As well as the famed Greek-Roman Theatre
(Admission fee: not included), there are several minor sites to be discovered around Taormina. The attractive
principal thoroughfare, Corso Umberto is pedestrian and ideal for strolling and window-shopping.
Picturesque lanes above and below the Corso are interesting to explore, while if you want to stretch your legs
further there are attractive walks up into the hills, or down to the sea. Given its compact size, Taormina has a
huge range of bars, cafes and restaurants where you can while away pleasant hours while admiring the views.

Day 7 Siracuse
Breakfast at hotel - Today we depart for Syracuse, founded by colonists from Cornith in 735 B.C. and once
the most important competitor to Athens. On arrival visit through the Archaeological Park (Admission fee:
not included) highlights the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Paradise Quarry. Then stroll
through the streets of Ortygia Island, the heart of the city center. Lunch at liesure. In the afternoon we return
to the hotel. Free time in the park of the hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Day 8 check-out
Breakfast at hotel and check-out – Transfer to the airport of Catania/Comiso – end of the tour

Day 1: Up on arrival at airport of Catania you will meet our representative that welcome you and organize the transfer
to Milazzo (1.30 h/2.00 h). During the transfer you will have a presentation of the program, an introduction of Sicily
and of the places that you will see on the way. Arrived in Milazzo boarding on hydrofoil toward Lipari (1 h). Up on
arrival to Lipari island you will be transferred to Hotel Carasco 4 *. The hotel is located at 500 metres from the center
and has direct access to the sea, a restaurant and a swimming pool of sea water with a breathtaking view of the coast

managed by a family that continues the ancient traditions of making cottage cheese on the island, using only natural

and homemade bread. Return to hotel. Free time to visit the mood pool with thermal springs to take a bath which is
very health for the body. Boarging to the boat and departure to the west coast of the island toward the Grotta del

Day 4 Panarea: Panarea is the second smallest (after Basiluzzo) of the eight Aeolian Islands, a volcanic island chain
north of Sicily. It is a frazione of the comune of Lipari. There are currently about 280 residents living on the island
year-round; however the population increases dramatically in summer with the influx of tourists. In recent years, the
island has become known internationally for its celebrity visitors.
Breakfast at the hotel – departure by private boat to Panarea. We sail islets of Panarea and Bay of Calajunco, best
places to smim. We will then stop at the port of Panarea to startsa walking tour to the island with delicous white
houses. Along the panoramic road, you can see St.Peter's Church, built during the XIX century and dedicated to the
patron of the island. The tour continue toward Capo Milazzese Located in the beautiful inlet of Cala Junco, you will
see the ruins of a pre-historical village dating back to the Bronze Age (XI-XII B.C.). Return to the centre to have a
tasting of Granita with brioches – a specialty of ice cream). Free time to have a walk to the center of the village whch
is full of luxurious boutiques. Departure to Lipari, desembark and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at hotel and overnight.
Day 5 Salina: Salina (Didyme), is the greenest island of the Aeolian archipelago. Its name comes from the salt mines
exploited in ancient times a lake, an abandoned village of Language. The island of Salina is composed of three distinct
autonomous municipalities of Santa Marina, Malfa and Leni. Lingua, Pollara, Rinella, Torricella Val di Chiesa, Are
important fractions of the Isle.
In Pollara you can see, at a distance, the house where was shot the film "Il Postino", with Philippe Noiret in the part of
Pablo Neruda and the unforgettable Massimo Troisi in the mailman.
Besides its natural beauty and the home of "Il Postino", the island is renowned for the production of "capers" and
"Malvasia", a distinctive wine with a very sweet flavor and aroma derived from raisins, vaguely similar to raisin).
Breakfast at the hotel – departure by private boat to Salina to the coastline of Lipari, white beaches and we reach the
eastern side to the beautiful bay Pollara, made famous by the movie of Massimo Troisi. We will unboard in the village
of Santa Marina to starts a panoramic tour around the island. During the tour we will visit an ancient church
(Madonna del Terzito) the name of the church come from a legend based on a story by apparition of the Virgin Mary
that sounded the bells. We will go toward the village of Malfa and than we stop to admire breathtaking view of Pollara
from thr top of the ancient volcano of Salina. We than depart toward Lingua village to have a lunch at restaurant
overlooking the sea. The lunch is based on PANI CUNZATU, a local bread toasted with above Aeolian ingredient from
different choice; mozzarella, capers, tomatoes, cottage cheese, capers, tuna fish. After lunch break to Santa Marina
village for a free time to the shopping street. In the late afternoon boarding toward Lipari. Desembark and transfer to

Day 6 Filicudi and Alicudi: Filicudi is situated 30–50km northeast of the island of Sicily. It is a frazione of the
comune of Lipari. Its total area is 9.5 km2. There are several small villages on the island, which include Pecorini Mare
and Valdichiesa. Filicudi's lands are capable of producing wine, olive oil, grain, and vegetables. In 1997, three quarters,
approximately of Filicudi was turned into a Natural Reserve. The highest point is Monte Fossa Felci. Other points
include Monte Montagnola and Monte Terrione. At Capo Graziano are the remains of a Bronze Age village dating
back to the second millennium BCE. Off the coast, the volcanic finger-like rock of La Canna rises about 74 metres
above the sea). Alicudi is the westernmost of the eight islands that make up the Aeolian archipelago, a volcanic island
chain north of Sicily. The island is about 40 km west of Lipari, has a total area of 5.2 km2 and is roughly circular.
Today there are around 120 inhabitants who mostly live off fishing, or the small agriculture of the island. On the island
there are no means of transport, the only way to transport goods on the houses and manually or with donkeys.

Day 7 Stomboli: The island of Stromboli in the Aeolian archipelago is the latest to have emerged from the sea, and is
caught by the town of Lipari. Characterized as all the Aeolian volcanic origin, the appearance of the island was
probably preceded by the birth of Strombolicchio, a small volcano situated about a mile from the island. Stromboli is
the most active volcanoes in Europe, whose volcanic activity, which lasted uninterrupted for millennia, is manifested
through a continuous and constant repetition of explosions from the vents, coming out of fountains of lava and ash,
which usually roll along "La Sciara".
The volcano and its eruptive activity, is experienced by the islanders as a supernatural presence and its proximity to
man has earned him the nickname "Iddu". The volcanic phenomena can be observed from close range on a hiking on
the slopes of the volcano, lasting a few hours. The unforgettable spectacle of the volcano, erupting lava, clouds of gas

Day 1: Up on arrival at airport of Catania you will meet our representative that welcome you and organize the transfer to
Milazzo (1.30 h/2.00 h). During the transfer you will have a presentation of the program, an introduction of Sicily and

Day 2 Vulcano: Vulcano (Hierà), is the closest island to Sicily, is located 12 miles of Milazzo and Lipari is separate from a small canal
off just over a mile. Its name derives from the Roman god and is composed of volcanoes Lentia, Piano, Vulcanello and
Fossa, the most active of the four.
The island is characterized by perennial manifestations of volcanic, very popular with tourists who come here also to
enjoy the hot mud and fumaroles for cures and useful primarily for the treatment of rheumatism and skin diseases. The
characteristic odor of sulfur, which is also used for inhalation therapy, becomes more intense if you take advantage of

The island of Lipari, in the Greek language indicated by the name of Meligunis, is the largest archipelago and has about
10,000 inhabitants. The tourist sees since his arrival the fortified town and the Town Hall, established in the former
Franciscan monastery. At his feet are perhaps the two most famous bays: Marina Corta, with the Church of the Souls of
Purgatory and the seventeenth-century Church of St. Joseph and Marina Lunga, the largest port.
The soil of the island is of volcanic tuff, obsidian and pumice, and its coasts are characterized by cliffs and sea stacks
that many face. The oldest rocks dating emerged about 225,000 years ago and volcanic phenomena are now limited to a
modest activity in the presence of fumaroles and hot springs, like those of the thermal spring of "Terme di San
Calogero").

bays with possibility of making swimming break near the Grotta del Cavallo (grotto of the Horse) and the Piscina di
Nenere (Venus pool). After the break we unboard to the port of Marinacorda of Lipari to starts a tour around the
island. From the center we go toward the mountain for a first stop to Quattrocchi to enjoy a breathtaking view of the

We will picked you up at Catania airport and transfer to the hotel near Etna and Taormina. The Resort is located above

Breakfast at Hotel. Today we explore the Volcano Etna, largest active volcano in Europe, and admire a unique
combination of nature and the uncontrollable essence of fire. It reaches up to an altitude of 2000 meters in a square
with restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. Hiking to the crater Silvestri to enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley and
the sea. At 13.00 departure to visit a cellar producing ETNA DOC wines for a wines and culinary tasting – Lunch with
dishes of Etna’s local cuisine paired with 3 wines + cottage cheese, Sicilian sausages, snacks, olives, sun dried
tomatoes, bread and olive oil). Return to the hotel – dinner and overnight.
3rd day:
Breakfast at hotel – Morning, we will depart for a visit at COS winery. Fascinated by ancient cellar practices, COS
decided to work with amphoras, clay jars that were used by the ancient Greeks. Visit the winery and wine tasting
combined with tasting local delicatessen. In the afternoon we depart to visit the city of Noto – One of the Sicilian cities
that became UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2002. This citiy already existed during the Medieval Age, but was
rebuilt (in part or entirely) after the earthquake of 1693. Having followed the stylistic model predominant during the
era, the cities’ architecture, urban plan and decorations constitute the culmination of one of the last periods of
Baroque’s flourish in Europe. Return to the hotel – dinner and overnight.

Breakfast at Borgo – Departure to visit Taormina and its Greco-Roman amphitheatre and enjoy the chic boutiques and
