Planning your visit

Hannah Paye coordinates and manages all group enquiries and is the friendly voice at the end of the phone when you ring to book your visit.

Just let her know how many people are in your group and whether you need a guide, or if you would like to be self-guided. Hannah works closely with the Refectory Manager and can organise refreshments for your group too.

If you have booked a guide or catering and are running late contact the Donations Desk team on 01722 555156 and they will make sure your guide and the Refectory know.

Our Donations Desk team are there to help you on the day of your visit. They handle all the admissions and can help direct you to wherever you need to go.

Fast Track entry

A Voucher Scheme is available to groups who visit regularly and gives fast track entry.

For more details ask Hannah when you call.

Did you know?

Salisbury Cathedral’s spire is the tallest in Britian. It was added to the Cathedral in the mid-1300s and weighs around 6,600 tons.

Today’s spire is around three inches taller than the original as a result of restoration work done in the 1950s. It’s believed that architects at the time might have forgotten to include the mortar in their calculations!

Come and see...

Our magnificent flowing water font by sculptor William Pye.

Britain’s largest cloisters with landscaped garth.

The beautiful Prisoner of Conscience window in the Trinity Chapel designed by Gabriel Loire in Chartres, France.

The world’s oldest working mechanical clock, which dates back to 1386. The turret clock, which has no face, has ticked more than 4.4 billion times since it was built. See pages 8-9 for map and photos.

Join us for...

Choral Evensong, which takes place every evening at 17:30 Monday - Friday and 16:30 on Sunday.
