9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to

your word.10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.12 Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees.13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth.14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word

9 Disciplines of Growing in CHRIST

1. Live according to God's Word.

2. Seek God wholeheartedly.

7. Delight in obedience.

8. Learn God's Ways.

9. Never neglect God's Word.

Live according to God's Word

“For God did not call us to be impure,

but to live a holy life.”

1 Thessalonians 4:7

These are Not a Duty – But because

we Love Him and to Please Him to Live

according to His Word.

• forgive: Colossians 3:13

• consider others better: Philippians 2:3

• honor parents: Ephesians 6:2-3

• love our neighbor: Mark 12:33

• nurture our children: Ephesians 6:4

• help the needy: James 2:14-17

• use pure language: Ephesians 5:4

• share the Gospel: Matthew 28:18-20

Seek God wholeheartedly

“For I know the plans I have for you," declares

the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to

harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

“You will seek me and find me when you

Keep the Faith

“And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.”

Faith is not hoping God can…

It is knowing He Will…

Let God…

Keep the Faith

And without faith it is impossible to please

God, because anyone who comes to him must

believe that he exists and that he rewards

those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Hide God's Word in our hearts

"This is the covenant I will make with them after

that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in

their hearts, and I will write them on their

minds."

“Do not merely listen to the word, and

so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” James 1:22

Ask God to teach us

33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;

door" asking Him to

help us see

wonderful things in

His Word.

Speak God's Word often

18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.
