Annual research publication output of the five most prolific countries in the Arabian, Persian & Turkish Middle East. Turkey

and Iran, two of the five countries that produce more than 1,700 papers annually, also shows a marked annual growth rate.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have a substantial output but it is not growing at the same rate as the two

leading countries.
