grudgeology - the art of holding a grudge
DESCRIPTION
Grudgeology is my approach to enable individuals to recognise where they are holding grudges and start to explore how those grudges might be impacting upon them, their colleagues and family members.The thinking is that if we are able to acknowledge our grudge, and perhaps draw it as a n animal, then we start to externalise the grudge and we can then start to challenge its influence.When we do this then we are able to get teams and families working more effectively.The animal metaphor is not to be taken too seriously. This keeps the grudge analysis safe and approachable. The workshop that I deliver on this is often packed with laughter as people realise that our grudges are either ridiculous, or that the power that we grant to our grudges is ridiculous.The latter slides draw their inspiration from Dr Fred Luskin's research into the science of forgiveness.
