2018 Showcase: Perceptionsinspired by the work of M.C. Escher

G/T Enrichment FairMay 24th

6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Escher once said, “Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.”

Reconsider your perceptions of the world around you, and create an ORIGINAL entry for the 2017 G/T Enrichment Fair in any of the following categories:

- poem- photograph- artwork- digital artwork

All qualifying entries will be displayed at the G/T Enrichment Fair on May 24th.

Winners in each category will be chosen by a jury of teachers looking for:

- interpretation of the theme: PERCEPTIONS- quality of artistic technique

The winning entries will become part of Mount View’s permanent Arts And Literature Showcase and will be eligible for additional prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive a gift card to Michael’s.

An M.C. Escher inspired community art project will take place at the Enrichment Fair.

Poem should be one page or less and must be shared with Mrs Mako electronically. If using GAFE, please title the document with the same name as the title of your poem.

Artwork can be any size and must be on paper.

Digital artwork and photographs can be attached as a print out or shared via GAFE, e-mail, or Canvas.

All entries must be original work completed by one student between June 2017 and May 2018.

ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE TO MRS. MAKO BY MAY 22nd.
