The Fifth UC Irvine Rhinoplasty Course consists of two days of lectures and lab focused on rhinoplasty. Our honored guest speaker is Dr. Richard E. Davis from Florida. He will be joined by distinguished guests, Drs. Oren Friedman and Fred Fedok who will be course directors along with Dr. Wong for the 2019 AAFPRS Rhinoplasty Course. Participating in this course will be talented leaders, innovators, and educators in rhinoplasty surgery from throughout Southern California. This two-day course is meant for the intermediate and advanced rhinoplasty surgeon. Special topics will include the use of fillers in rhinoplasty, image guidance, piezo, and other emerging techniques. Exhibitors will also be in attendance to demonstrate the latest in technology relevant to the practice of nasal surgery. Faculty from several AAFPRS fellowship training programs are represented in this conference, as well as participation by facial plastic surgeons from USC, UCLA, the Naval Medical Center San Diego, and Loma Linda University. On Sunday afternoon, we will have a cadaver laboratory (additional cost and participants will need to bring their own instruments). NOTE: ATTIRE IS RESORT CASUAL.

Educational ObjectivesIncrease surgical competence to be able to expand surgical skills; specifically to evaluate and improve skills with aesthetic and functional surgery of the nose. Assess, identify and perform the latest techniques in the management of nasal deformities and disorders of the airway. Increase competence with respect to managing complex nasal shape and airway disorders and expand and develop surgical techniques for performing surgery.
