GUEST TEACHERS
Valor’s Expectations for Students
LEARNING GOAL
Students will articulate and explore ways to show respect to guests
at Valor
Students will understand that misbehavior with a guest teacher is
serious and could result in a referral.
Students will understand that classes will be recognized when a
guest teacher leaves a good report!
WHAT IS A GUEST
As a class, share out the definition
of the word “Guest.”
In groups have students discuss: How do
adults expect you treat a guest in your
home?
Groups share answers, teacher fills in T-chart on poster or use document
camera, board
If you thought about guest teachers like they
were guests in your home how would you treat
them?

MORE DISCUSSION
How would you welcome them into
the classroom?
If you don’t know who they
are, how would you talk to them?
How would you help them feel
comfortable during their day?
What are the ways you could treat a
guest teacher better than your regular
teacher? Why?
